Notes about Lakeside HS Code

All school-year code• From first day of sport to last day of school

Challenges: • Spring sport only athlete• Winter or Fall/Spring athlete?

1st offense: • Suspension from 50% of WIAA regular season allowance of

games in sport If # of games is not completed, remaining percentage carries

into the next sport of participation

Notes about Lakeside HS Code

• 1st week – no contact with team; then must attend all practices, but no competitions until suspension is served.

• Student must attend a District approved educational intervention program, or agreed upon alternative, at parent’s expense.

• Student will undergo random urinalysis testing for a period of one year at parent’s expense

Notes about Lakeside HS Code

Self-Admittance Discovery vs. Investigative Discovery:• If a student self-reports or self-admits, the suspensions will be

reduced by ten (10) percent (from 50% to 40%) of the competitions.

For Reinstatement to Competition:• The student and parent(s)/guardian(s) shall meet with the Athletic

Eligibility Board, consisting of coaches, counselors and administrators selected by the principal, to request approval to participate.

• Student must address/talk to the team about his/her actions. The coach will verify completion of this requirement.

2nd Offense:• Student will be ineligible for participation in all identified

activities for a period of one (1) calendar year from the date of the second violation

3rd Offense The student will be ineligible for the remainder of his/her high school career.

Notes about Freeman HS Code

• Rules apply for an entire sport season

A sport’s season is defined as the first practice until the awards banquet

• If violation occurs during the last 20% of a sport season, the student will be suspended for 20% of the contests of the next sport season.

• Student must attend an intervention program before the student can compete in another sport’s season.

1st violation: • Removed from the athletic team or club for duration of two (2)

weeks and will be required to attend an intervention program for alcohol/drug abuse.

Notes about Freeman HS Code

• Student is required to attend all practice sessions, but will not be allowed to participate in any contest during the probationary period.

2nd Violation: • Ineligible for interscholastic competition for a calendar year

3rd Violation: • Permanently ineligible for interscholastic competition for the remainder of their high school career
