Welcome to the Badass Texas race! At this event, you will prove just how badass you really are. We have water stations at every mile to mile and a half, sprinkler areas set up at the last water stop and finish line, as well as ice towels located along the tricky parts. Prepare yourself for a great party afterwards with free beer and race snacks. Cheers!
Half MarathonThe half marathon is a beautiful course. Participants will hit 11 water stops along this route. The start and finish line is at Heritage Square located next to Waco City Hall in Downtown Waco. They will run along the Brazos River, through the MCC Campus, The runners will cross over the river and go through Historic Elm. They will then cross back over the river on the Washington Bridge and head back to Downtown Waco and finish at Heritage Square.
10K RunThe 10K course features plenty of water (4 water stops) and plenty of shade along the Brazos River. Runners will start in Downtown Waco at Heritage Square. They will run along the Brazos River along University Parks Dr. and head into the scenic Cameron Park. Runners will then make the turn around just past the park and over the Washington St. Bridge into Historic Elm and coming back over the bridge to finish at Heritage Square in Downtown Waco.
5K RunThe 5K course features many of the highlights of the 10K, just half the distance with 2 chances for water in the Texas heat.

Additional Course Aid Details
• There will be 9 water stations on the course approximately 1-1.5 miles apart. Half Marathoners will pass water stations 11 times. 10k runners will pass water stations 4 times, and 5K runners will pass water stations 2 times.
• Each station will offer iced water and Nuun. Water station 3-9 will offer Gels in addition to Nuun and Water.
• We will have cold towels placed periodically along the course. We encourage all runners to grab a wet towel.
• There are 4 restrooms placed along the course. 1 on University Park Drive, 1 on MLK(hit twice) 1 one Lake Shore (hit twice) 1 on Elm Ave.
• There will be several roaming EMTs on along the course. If you need help, find a course official or call 911.
