Product Line Atex Line
Description Wherever flammable gases, vapors, mist and dust form explosive atmo-spheres in combination with oxygen the operator of an installation has to integrate effective precautions against explosions.
This is achieved in the specially designed GS direct-acting solenoids of the Atex Line which excel by dynamic and reliable switching.
The solenoids are designed in the ignition protection type “e” (increased safety). With these solenoids special measures have been taken to prevent the occurrence of sparks, arcs or dangerous temperatures at parts where they do not occur in normal operation.
The stroke movement takes place from the stroke starting position to the stroke end position by electromagnetic force, while the armature reset is accomplished by external forces.
The solenoids can be installed in any position, but the force transfer should be in axial direction only.
The magnetic forces indicated are reached at 90% of the nominal voltage and in warmed-up condition. The values for the switching cycles are valid for nominal voltage, warmed-up condition and load of 70% of the magnetic force of the device.
The products are manufactured and tested acc. DIN VDE 0580/07.2000.

Other voltages up to max. 230 V DC are possible on request at an extra charge.

Devices of the series 41 01E are direct-acting solenoids which due to their special design are suitable for use in explosion-prone areas.
The explosion protection was approved with the test certifi-cate PTB 03 ATEX 2175 X of the “Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Braunschweig” (Federal Metrology Institute in Brunswick, Germany).
