Did you know?As a subtropical island, Key West is home to thousands of species of beautiful birds, flowers and reptiles that are just as unique

and colorful as its twolegged residents!

Something fun for everyone... all year round!

KeyWest is closer to Cuba than Miami! When you stand at our Southernmost Point, you are 90 miles from Cuba – and 150 miles

from Miami. Key West is a small island, measuring 2 x 4 miles. The highest point in

Key West is Solares Hill at 18 feet above sea level. We are located at confluence of the Atlantic

Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico and are surrounded by incredibly beautiful waters.

Key West is the only city in thecontinental USA to never have seen a frost! The coldest ever recorded for Key West was 41ºf in 1981. Combine an annual average high temperature of 83ºf and average low temperature of 73ºf with wonderful sea breezes, and this island can truly be

described as “paradise.”

There are more bars per capita inKey West than anywhere in the country!

Key West really knows how to party! But, we also have more churches per capita than any city, so we also are able to slow down and give thanks for the friendly,

welcoming and wonderful “One Human Family” community we share together!

NOT snowing today...

Treasure by the Ton! Back in the 1600’s, Spanish Conquistadors plied the waters off Key West in their Galleons filled with gold, silver and

Colombian emeralds. Treasure hunter Mel Fisher spent decades searching for and finally found the wrecks of both the Atocha and Santa

Margarita... and they have been discovering more sunken treasure every day for the last 30 years!
