Early in our history the Pilgrim Fathers inaugurated the custom o f dedicating one day at harvest lime to rendering thanks to Alm ighty God for the bounties o f the soil and fo r H is mercies throughout the year. A t this autumnal season tradition suggests and our hearts require that we follow that hallowed custom and bow in reverent thanks for the blessings bestowed upon us individually and as a nation.
W ith gratitude in our hearts for all our blessings, may we be ever mindful o f the obligations inherent in our strength and may we rcdedicate ourselves to unselfish striving for the common betterment o f mankind.
1 do hereby proclaim Thursday, N ov. 25, 1954, as a day o f national thanksgiving, and I call upon all our citizens to observe the day zvith prayer. Let us demonstrate in our lives our humble thanks to God for H is beneficence in the year which has passed and let us ask H is guidance in the year to come.

i Western States Convention Best M eet y e t j♦ By Thomas It. Nickel
Of the many wonderful gatherings of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, so far as the power and blessing of God are concerned, the Western States Convention at Oakland-San Francisco is believed to have been the best yet.
International Officers attending were: President Demos Sha- karian; Vice-Presidents George
Gardner, Lee Braxton, Miner Arganbright and Earl Draper; Secretary and Treasurer Harold G. Kabisch; Editor and Publisher Thomas R. Nickel; Directors C. C. Ford, Jewel W. Rose and Art Wilson. There were Officers and members from widely-scattered Chapters in attendance also.
The Convention was sponsored by the Golden Gate Pentecostal
This photo was taken at the San Francisco Breakfast-Broadcast of the Western States Convention. God did a lasting work in the hearts and lives of everyone present. Men and women alike wept before God until their handkerchiefs could hold no more tears. Soon after the Catholic photographer made this shot, he put his camera down, raised his hands and cried out to God as tears streamed down his face.

Fellowship, and President A. G. Canada and Secretary-Treasurer J. J. Humphries left nothing undone to help make the meet the success it was.

This group of Full Gospel Business Men and Ministers were used of God to bring mighty messages and demonstrations of Deliverance to a large gathering of Believers at Fresno, California. over. George Gardner stood up and pointed out certain persons whom God had revealed to him were to receive something from the Lord. As people came and stood before the head table, making a massive altar of it, the entire gathering became broken be-

fore the Lord. Many came for their own needs and others came vicariously for their loved ones. There was weeping and crying out to God. Hands were raised high and tears streamed down faces of men and women alike. A Catholic photographer took a photograph of the scene, laid his camera down, raised his hands, and began to commune with God as tears flowed from his eyes.
Those unfamiliar with the wor
kings of God in a Full Gospel group may wonder what the benefits of this demonstration are. Unsaved people are saved, saved people receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, Spirit-filled people are refilled and drawn closer to God, sick bodies are healed, and there is a refreshing of spirit, soul and body that only the very Presence of God can bring.

GOD KEEPS HIS WOEDBy C. C. Ford
This is the first o f a series o f fine articles based upon the W ord of God and confirmed by the experiences of C. C. Ford, Builder and Real Estate Dealer, o f Denver, Colorado, l ie is Director o f Full Gospel Business M en ’s Fellowship International and is Chairman of the Arrangements Committee fo r the Fellowship Convention to be held at Denver in June, 1955. H is Testimony truly is a marvellous demonstration of his Faith and God’s Faithfulness united in action.
I am thinking of the approaching storm that’s going to forever destroy the harvest, and I ’m writing this for one purpose, that others might know the Lord as I know Him and be able to be prospered as I have been prospered. I have been thinking, too, about the atomic bomb, about how our scientists, a lot of them that know not God, have dealt with a thing that is unseen, the tiniest of all creation, the atom. They’ve gone beyond what they can see, what they can touch, what they can taste, and what they can smell, and they have so dealt in the unseen that they’ve been able to take that thing and destroy great portions of the earth.
If the ungodly scientists, some of them, can do so much in such a powerful way with the unseen, God’s creation, how much more
should we be able to do with the Creator of the atom, with the Creator of the universe, and here we’re putting so much trust in the atom, the tiniest of God’s creation. You know who I want to put my trust in? Not in how many atomic bombs we have, but I want to put my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator of the atom.
I’m so glad that I have learned to trust the Lord and put my trust in Him, and I’d like to have this made very clear that I do not consider a man’s prosperity any sign of his spirituality. We find many people upon the earth today that are making money, and are not spiritual, in fact, are very evil. But I want to bring the message that our God has supplied all our needs according to His riches in Glory. The needs of man today, all his needs, are supplied: salvation bought by the blood of Jesus Christ; health is brought to us by His stripes; and II Cor. 8:9 says, “ that ye through His poverty might be made rich." In other words, Christ was a pauper upon earth that we might be able to have material blessings, that all our needs might be met.
The things I write are things I have seen in the Bible, the Word of God. I’m not speaking for any particular church, I’m speaking

We are wondering if you would consider a paid ad in vour magazine?” From the very first issue, we have been grateful to
those who were interested in placing paid advertising in Full Gospel Men’s Voice, but it is the policy of the publication to carry no paid advertising.

Presbyter Section Four, Oregon District, Assemblies of God, North Bend, Oregon:
“I was impressed with the article of The Historic Argentina Revival, where Paul Sorensen was interpreter for Rev. Tommy Hicks, the evangelist.
“His father, Niels C. Sorensen, tarried with me for the Baptism in the Holy Ghost at Hartford, Connecticut, in November, 1912. He was an earnest worker for the Lord and had received a missionary call to South America.
“While in Argentina he was unable to leave that country during World War I, due to his German ancestry. He was obliged to work for fifty cents a day, and for seven years he labored in the Gospel work without a single soul being saved. In 1921 he ministered from my pulpit a wonderful missionary message.

Our Doctrinal Statement
There is one God, M aker o f all things, being in Trinity o f Father, Son and H oly Spirit.
The Son o f God, Jesus Christ, became incarnate, was begotten by the H oly Spirit, born o f the Virgin M ary, and is true God and true man.
The Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired W ord of God andthe only infallible rule o f faith and conduct.
There will be resurrection o f the dead, eternal happiness of the saved and eternal punishment o f the lost.
There is personal salvation o f believers, through the Blood o f Christ.
There needs to be sanctification by the Blood of Christ, personal holiness o f heart and life, and separation from the world.
There is Divine Healing, through faith, and that healing is included in the Atonement.
The Baptism o f the H oly Ghost, accompanied by the initial physical sign o f speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance ( A cts 2:4), is distinct from the N ew B irth ; and the nine Gifts o f the Spirit, listed in I Corinthians 12, are now available to believers.
The Christian’s hope is the imminent, personal return o f the Lord Jesus Christ.
Intensive world-evangelism and missionary work, with signs following, is in accordance with the Great Commission.
