SHOW REGULATIONS 1. RULES: The Show will be held under the Rules of the Irish Kennel Club Ltd. as in force on the

date of the publication of this schedule and will be on display in an abridged form on the day of the Show.

2. VENUE: The Show will be held in the Ballymoney Show Grounds, North Road, Ballymoney, BT53 6BW. Saturday 11th August 2018

3. THE ENTRY FEE will be as follows:

Breed Class €24.00 (£24.00) for 1st dog (includes IKC Levy)

Additional Dogs €9.00 (£9.00). (same ownership)

Baby Puppy €5.00 (£5.00).

Puppy Stakes €9.00 (£9.00).

Brace Stakes €9.00 (£9.00).

Veteran Stakes €9.00 (£9.00).

Champion Stakes €9.00 (£9.00).

Dogs Not for Competition €5.00 (£5.00)

Junior Handling Free if entered in Breed otherwise €5.00 (£5.00)

4. The Promoting Body will not accept any responsibility for mistakes in the Catalogue which

may bring exhibitors within the purview of the Irish Kennel Club Rules.

5. PRIZES: Group Winners, Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show.

6. THE ENTRY FEES OF EXHIBITS failing to arrive or rejected by the Veterinary Surgeon will be forfeited.

7. VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS: A Veterinary Surgeon, or an authorised substitute, in atten-dance will have the power to exclude any exhibit which in his/ her opinion is not in a fit state for exhibition on account of disease, vice, or other cause.

8. JUDGES: In the event of any appointed Judge, failing to keep his/her engagement, the Com-mittee reserve the right to appoint another Judge or Judges.

9. JUDGING: (a) will commence at 10.30am sharp, except Junior Handling which will com-mence at 9.30 am. No claim will be considered in the event of any exhibit being late. (b) No persons will be allowed in the Judging Ring except the Judge, Show Officials, or an exhibitor taking in a dog for adjudication. (c) The exhibition number of each dog which must be

clearly displayed by its handler who shall not wear a badge or other decoration in the Judg-ing Ring. (d) The Club will not be responsible for the exhibition of any exhibit in the Ring, even though the exhibit may be on the grounds at the time of Judging. In the event of any exhibitor requesting a Steward or other Official to handle his/her exhibit in the Ring, any such Official may voluntarily do so only on the distinct understanding that such action is on behalf of the exhibitor and does not involve any responsibility whatever or any responsibil-ity for loss or damage consequential or otherwise.

10. RECEIPT ON ENTRIES AND DISPATCH OF EXHIBITORS NUMBERS: No acknowledgement of receipt of entries will be sent UNLESS a stamped addressed postcard is enclosed with the entries. 11. EXHIBITS: Each exhibitor shall be responsible for keeping their exhibits under proper control at all times. ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES ANYWHERE ON THE SHOW­GROUNDS.

12. REJECTING ENTRIES: etc.: (a) The Promoting Body reserves the right to reject any entry, advertisement or other insertion in the Catalogue or the allocation of Stand Space at the Show. (b) No entries will be accepted without the appropriate Entry Fee, which cannot be refunded under any circumstances. (c) INELIGIBLE ENTRIES: A transfer of an incorrect entry as to sex or breed may be allowed by the Secretary prior to the commencement of judging and a dog entered in an age class for which it is not eligible may be transferred to the next appropriate age class, but in no other respects.

13. ALL JUDGES are requested to take classes in each breed in the order in which they are en-tered in the Judging Book.

14. ALL ANNOUNCEMENTS: appearing in "Dog World", "Our Dogs" prior to the Date of the clos-ing of entries, and in reference to any alterations made by the Club in the Schedule, or in these Regulations shall be deemed sufficient notice thereof.

15. INTERPRETATION: The Promoting Body shall be the "Show Committee" within the meaning of the Irish Kennel Club Ltd. Rules and all disputes (if any) shall be dealt with by the Promot-ing Body. Parties to any such disputes shall have the right to appeal to the Irish Kennel Club Ltd.

16. DURING THE EXHIBITION OF DOGS at this Show the officiating Judge will not allow, under any circumstances, any form of distraction by ringsiders and will disqualify any exhibit which is being assisted in its performance by any person other than the handler.

18) Exercise/Puppy Pens: are prohibited within the confines of the exhibition area, at all shows licensed by the Irish Kennel Club with effect from the 1st January 2009.

19) Dogs not entered for competition: Dogs which are not being exhibited at all Breed Champi-onship Shows must be entered as NOT FOR COMPETITION, for insurance purposes, prior to close of entries. Dogs to be entered on a form supplied by the show promoting society giv-ing details of breed/s and name/s of each dog. The show promoting society shall issue a pass or passes to such dogs and keep a record of same. Production of passes may be requested in any area of dispute. The fee for this facility shall be Five Euro, (€5.00), per dog

20) Puppies under the age of six (6) months should not be present on the show grounds unless being exhibited where a Baby Puppy class is scheduled.

Handling Classes 10—12 yrs. 13—14 yrs. 15—17 yrs.

Please Note: All Gundog Breeds have Field Trial Dog and Bitch classes

CLASS DEFINITIONS (The word ‘Dog’ includes both sexes)

Baby Puppy is confined to dogs between four months and under six months of age on the day of the show computed from and inclusive of its date of birth. Dogs entered in this class are not eligible to challenge for the Green Star and may not take part in any further competition except Best Baby Puppy In Show

Puppy Class is confined to dogs over 6 and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show

Junior Class is confined to dogs over 9 and under 18 months of age on the day of the Show.

Intermediate Class is confined to dogs over 15 and under 24 months on the day of the Show.

An Adult Class is for dogs between 24 and 36 calendar months of age on the first day of the Show.

Open Class is confined to dog over 15 months on the day of the Show.

Champion Class is confined to dogs that have attained the title of Champion under the Rules & Regulations of the Irish Kennel Club or other Kennel Authority recognised by the Irish Kennel Club.

Veteran Class is confined to dog over 8 years of age on the day of the Show

Field Trial Class is confined to dogs who have won at least a reserve in a Puppy, Novice, Derby or Open Stake as defined in the Field Trial Rules & Regulations.

A copy of the relevant win at Field Trial must accompany the entry form.

Please Note: A Veteran Dog who is a Champion may enter in either Veteran or Champion Class but not both.

N.B.: A Dog or Bitch may be entered in ONE BREED CLASS ONLY (No double entries)

Brace Class is for two exhibits of the same or different sexes of the same breed belonging to the same person, each exhibit having been entered in some class other than brace or team.

Team Class is for three exhibits of the same or different sexes of the same breed belonging to the same person, each exhibit having been entered in some class other than brace or team.
