The Actor• We have gone with Connor for the actor of the narrative within our video• We feel that Connor has more of an alternative look compared with other

members of our group, therefore, would suit our genre’s conventions, and would match our target audiences’ expectations a lot more.

• Connor is also quite a reserved person, therefore would suit the vibe we’re going for within our narrative, as the actor needs to seem lost within the world, unsure of what to do next, therefore, his quiet personality would help this.

The Performer• We have gone with Will to be the performer in our Music Video, as we feel he did

reasonably well in the Base Track task, doing a good job of performing with his chosen song.

• He was also the only member of the group that was fully comfortable with being the performer, and singing/miming in front of the camera.

• In terms of personality, Will is outgoing when it comes to working with people he knows well. This would mean that awkwardness would be reduced, which would improve overall quality of the performance shots, as he wouldn’t hold back.

How do the actors suit the roles?

• Actor: Needs to appear quite reserved, quiet, and lost. Connor would be perfect for this as he has a calm demeanor, whilst also seeming in control of his emotions. This would accentuate our characters’ personality, and would hopefully make our narrative more meaningful and realistic.

• Performer: Needs to appear in quite a reflective stance, whilst also being objective in analysing his feelings. The performer needs to be able to convey a wide range of facial emotions, to convey the confusion he is feeling. We feel that Will can do that, and has sufficient acting ability to pull of the performance part relatively well.
