ASSESSMENT PATTERNCLASSES I,II
I. There is no formal examination for Classes I and II. The teacher will evaluatethe students through continuous and comprehensive evaluation [CCE].The testing can be done simultaneously while teaching or separately.
II. Most of the time the students will not be aware that they are being tested.
III. There will be minimum 8 cycles of CCE.(of 20 marks each )
IV. One cycle of CCE means that all the students of the class are tested in allthe competencies.

3. ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES
Reading with a Purpose(Making Notes), Oral Quizzes, Role Play, Presentation onCurrent Topics(Formulating one‘s own reasoning for an observed event/activity),Group Discussion, Survey, MCQs, Charts, Models, Map Reading, Trips andReports, Group Investigations, Source-based Analysis, Assignments (Class workand Homework) etc.
PROJECT : in Math , English , Science , Social , 2nd L only one per term in eachsubject . Students to do the same under teacher supervision only …Parents helpis eliminated .To get all materials on the day mentioned by teacher failing whichstudent will be marked 0 …

ASSESSMENT POLICY (GRADE V-VIII)
(i) Periodic Test (10marks)
The school will conduct three periodic written tests in the entire academic year and
the average of the best two will be taken. With portion of syllabus cumulatively covered.
The gradually increasing portion contents would prepare students acquires confidence
for appearing in the final examination with 100% Syllabus. The school will take average
of the best two tests for final marks submission.
(ii) Notebook submission (5 marks)
Notebook submission as a part of internal assessment is aimed at enhancing
seriousness of students towards preparing notes for the topics being thought in the
classroom as well as assignment. This also addresses the critical aspect of regularity
punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep.
(iii)Subject Enrichment Activity (5marks)For languages: Activities conducted for subject enrichment in languages should
aim equipping the learner to develop effective speaking and listening skills
For mathematics: the listed laboratory activities and project as given in the prescribed
publication of CBSE/NCERT will be followed
For science: Practical work activities will be carried out
For social Science: map and project work will be undertaken.
For grades V to VIII the % coverage of portions for Term 2 will be as follows:
Grades V& VI: 10 % of 1st Term covering significant topics plus entire syllabus of
2nd term.
Grade VII: 20 % of 1st Term covering significant topics plus entire syllabus of 2nd
term.
Grade VIII: 30 % of 1st Term covering significant topics plus entire syllabus of 2nd
term.
(iv)Term Assessment (Half Yearly &Annual Exam) -80marks

1. In order to be declared as ‘Passed’ a candidate shall obtain not less than33% marks in each of the five subjects separately and in aggregate.
2. Student has to secure 33% marks out of overall 20 marks in each subject inInternal Assessment too.
3. A student having less than 75% attendance in an academic session shall notbe permitted to appear in the Final Examination.
4. Students will be awarded Marks as well as grades in classes V-VIII.
5. It is mandatory to appear in all Examinations.
