threats.

Geographic Range

Range Description:

This species is found in the upper Amazon in Peru, Brazil and Ecuador; in the Amazon River basin, from

the Napo River to Marajó Island.

Native: Brazil; Ecuador; Peru

PopulationBroad distribution, but is not particularly common in collections, therefore probably not very abundant.

Current Population Trend:  Stable

Habitat and Ecology (see Appendix for additional information)

C. cincta is a benthopelagic (ecological region at the lowest level of water body) species. It inhabits

larger rivers, streams and lakes.

Systems:  Freshwater

ThreatsThere are currently no threats known to be affecting this species.
