Assessment 2 follows the GCSE procedure for continuous assessment. Therefore this result will

be comprised of all units tested to date in class and homework results. Revision lists for each top-

ic are printed on the front of each topic booklet.

The skill being assessed in this assessment will be Reading. You will be completing a compre-

hension task on an extract. Your assessment will last 45 minutes.

You can prepare for this by completing the home work your teacher will be giving you before the

assessment as these will be practice comprehension tasks.

Look over your classwork book and read your teacher’s feedback on previous work thinking about what you did well and what you need to improve on. Remember that the number of marks available for each question reflects how much detail you need to write in.

Assessment 2 will take the form of continual assessment over 3 projects to date 1. Analytical Study of an object 2. Game Cover / DVD Cover design 3. Georgia O’Keefe development project ( This is the current project which will be assessed on

their initial drawings This assessment will help determine their overall level of ability and potential for choosing this subject for GCSE next year.

February’s assessment will consist of a listening test and an oral exam. Your French teacher will give you the oral questions in class and she will help you prepare the answers which you will then learn at home. Using Maths levels are assessed and report on. An exam will be completed at the end of March.
