SCHOOL TARDY DETENTION

• STARTING WITH THE ELEVENTH UNEXCUSED TARDY PER SEMESTER, STUDENTS WILL BE ASSIGNED

AFTER-SCHOOL DETENTION FOR EACH TARDY. FAILURE TO SERVE DETENTION WILL RESULT IN ISS.

ATTENDANCE

• STUDENT ABSENCES AND TARDIES WILL BE MARKED UNEXCUSED UNLESS WE RECEIVE A NOTE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF THE STUDENT’S RETURN TO SCHOOL, FROM A PARENT OR PHYSICIAN STATING AN ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE FOR BEING ABSENT OR TARDY.

• ALL NOTES SHOULD BE TURNED IN TO THE OFFICE.

• ONLY 7 PARENT NOTES WILL BE ACCEPTED OVER THE COURSE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.

ATTENDANCE DOES NOT IMPROVE AND A TRUANCY PETITION WILL BE ISSUED.

Laptop Guidelines Laptops are to stay in cases at all times unless instructed otherwise

by a teacher. Do not hold the power button down longer than 3 seconds. This

will cause bit locker which will freeze your computer. Laptops are to be transported by there handle or shoulder strap.

Students should never carry an open laptop or a laptop without a case.

Students should never have food or drinks around their laptop. Never store food/drinks in laptop cases.

Laptops should be fully charged every night. A $50 penalty will be assessed for any damages to laptop. A $32 penalty will be assessed for damaged case.

• TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS, AND STAFF MEMBERS WILL DISTRIBUTE RAM PERKS TICKETS TO STUDENTS EXHIBITING POSITIVE BEHAVIORS AND FOLLOWING RAMS RULES. THIS DISTRIBUTION WILL BE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE STAFF. (STUDENTS’ FIRST AND LAST NAME SHOULD WRITTEN ON EACH TICKET)

• EACH TICKET WILL BE ENTERED INTO A BI-WEEKLY DRAWING FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF PRIZES THAT WILL TAKE PLACE DURING LUNCH.

• EACH HOMEROOM TEACHER WILL HAVE A CONTAINER FOR RAM PERKS TICKETS AND IT IS THE STUDENTS’ RESPONSIBILITY TO PLACE THEIR TICKETS IN THE BUCKET.

• GRADE LEVEL TEAMS WILL DECIDE ON THE DAY TO CONDUCT THE DRAWING AND EXECUTE THE DRAWING TOGETHER ON THE DECIDED DAY.

• STUDENTS MUST BE PRESENT ON THE DAY OF THE DRAWING TO RECEIVE THEIR PRIZE. DURING THE DRAWING STUDENTS MUST REMAIN QUIET AND RESPECTFUL.

• HOMEWORK PASS FOR HAVING NO ZEROS STUDENT WILL EARN 5-RAM PERKS TICKETS AT MID-TERM/FINAL

• People do not decide to become extraordinary. They decide to accomplish extraordinary things. - Sir Edmund Hillary

• Who do you want to be? Where do you want to go? What do you want to become? What do you want for your life?

• Your vision can not be too big!

• The mountain is always uphill, dangerous, and challenging.

• It should be difficult, if not, it is not worth climbing.

THE CLIMB-CHARACTER INVOLVED IN REACHING THE TOP

• It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves. I'm sure the feeling of fear, as long as you can take advantage of it and not be rendered useless by it, can make you extend yourself beyond what you would regard as your capacity. - Sir Edmund Hillary

• Are you brave enough to start the climb?

• Are you afraid of the future? Are you afraid to become something greater than what you know now?

• Are you going to make excuses for not starting?

• Are you tough enough to put your hands on the side of the mountain and climb every day?

• Are you brave enough to move toward the unknown or do you want to stay in your comfort zone?

• When things become hard are you willing to keep moving forward or are you going to go back down the mountain?
