Pestana CR7 Lisboa and Funchal

Portugal-based hotel group meets evolving guest expectations by enhancing security with ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access at its newest lifestyle brand locations. Customer: Pestana Hotel Group recently opened two new locations for its Pestana CR7 lifestyle hotel brand in Lisboa and Funchal. The Funchal location offers all the conveniences of a digital lifestyle for guests and is right near the cruise port. The Lisboa location is in the heart of the Baixa district of Lisbon, and guests have just a short walk to the Terreiro do Paco. Both locations offer exciting and unique experiences for the 21st-century global travelers, and are powered by the Pestana CR7 App, which features the SOMEMO Manager to ensure monitoring of patrons’ satisfaction before, during and after their stays. Challenge: Looking to enhance guest experiences at these new hotel locations while maximizing efficiencies, Pestana CR7 sought to adapt to prominent industry demands, offering solutions that provide faster, more streamlined processes that can be accessed via personal smart devices. Solution: To cater to the rapidly evolving guest demands, the Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels management chose to implement several ASSA ABLOY Hospitality solutions at its new locations in Funchal and Lisboa. Operating with secure Seos technology, ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access delivers unmatched security by working with a hotel’s property management system to allocate guestrooms and generate an encrypted digital key that is securely delivered to a guest’s smartphone. The smartphone places the key in a secure digital key vault within the mobile app. When presented to the appropriate lock, the app then transmits the encrypted key over a secure communication channel using the device’s integrated Bluetooth. This protocol ensures that only those users with authorized access to a specific guestroom can receive digital key information to unlock the room.
