ANTI SUBMARINE ROCKET LAUNCHING SYSTEM ASRLSNaval Forces need to control penetrations to territory waters and main bases to deny enemy submarines. In order to im-prove the capability of Anti Submarine Warfare (ASW) Systems operating in littoral environments where sound propagation frequently causes very short sonar detection ranges and high false alarm rates on sonar systems due to adverse acoustic conditions, there is a certain need for Low Cost ASW Weapons effective in shallow waters.
To engage submarine contacts (whether real or false) under such difficult circumstances, inexpensive, quick-reaction an-ti-submarine weapon is needed for the navy. The ASRLS is the best solution that is compatible with existing underwater fire control systems, and prevents the unacceptably homing torpe-does on false submarine contacts.
ASELSAN ASRLS is a stabilized, remotely controlled, fully auto-mated and modular firing platform that is designed to control penetrations to territory waters and main bases to deny enemy submarines. With its compact and lightweight structure, it can be integrated to various kinds of naval platforms as well as to a ground facility for valuable asset protection.
