What is the CMC Learning Materials Program? The CMC Learning Materials Program (LMP) is a textbook rental and purchasing program to provide students with their textbooks for the rst day of class.

How do I know if my class is part of the program? Each class will state whether it is part of the LMP and those classes that require textbooks will have a book symbol & in the course title. NOT all classes that are part of the LMP will require textbooks.

How does ordering my textbooks work? When students add a course, their books are automatically ordered in the CMC LMP. Degree seeking students will see a $26/credit charge on their student schedule when they register for credit classes. Auditing students will not be charged for the textbooks and will have to order the book(s).

How do I nd the textbooks that were ordered for me or that I need to order? The CMC LMP dashboard can be accessed at Basecamp > CMC Apps > CMC Learning Material Program. For more information check with the Aspen (970.925.7740) or Carbondale (970.963.2172)campuses.

4If you’re an in-district student, you’ll soon see simpler tuition rates at Colorado Mountain College.

4In the fall, we are making lower-level and upper-level tuition rates the same–so a bachelor’s degree is even more aordable.

4Making a CMC degree even more aordable, this summer a new textbook program will lower average book costs.

4So, looking at both tuition and books, if you are an in-district student, your total cost for associate-level classes will only increase 1 percent. But if you are taking upper-level courses, you’ll see your college costs drop by 23 percent!

ENG-901-AS01 CREATIVE FICTION WRITING FOR EVERYONE NON CREDITBeginners to published authors are invited! We will focus on three things: generating content, reading like writers, and talking about craft issues that you will then work with in your stories. We will use folktales and classic and modern short stories as texts to explore during class. We will also do writing exercises in class designed to create content for you to work with over the week. Topics may include dialogue, setting, structure, plot, point of view, and character. Class participation is required, as is reading and writing outside of class. The trick to writing is simple: You just have to sit down and do it. The exercises will help you achieve word count. The lessons will help you look deeper into what you are writing and how to improve.
