Need in the CommunityIn rural communities, some

abandoned pets survive by forming packs to scavenge garbage and kill livestock.

Neighborhoods such as: Los Angeles, Saint Louis, New York, Sante Fe, Pittsburg, and Cleveland are being overrun by tens of thousands of unwanted dogs.

Need in the CommunityFree-roaming cats take a

tremendous toll on native wildlife populations by direct predation and by competition

Cats are vulnerable to contracting and spreading disease among themselves, other wildlife, and even people

Estimates for stray cats range up to 70 million in U.S.

Critical Thinking The ASPCA provides information through pamphlets and media to help critical thinkers in our society make an informed choice to support our cause. We intend to educate people how to make well-reasoned, reflective judgments in their treatment toward all living creatures.

Page 11: Aspca danielle

Critical ThinkingWe encourage people to evaluate their own disposition toward animals

We help volunteers to gather qualitative information about what they can do in their communities to make a difference

Page 12: Aspca danielle

Critical ActionBy teaching people to be courageous and speak out when they witness unscrupulous crimes against animals, they can make a conscious effort to change something negative into something positive

Page 13: Aspca danielle

Critical ActionWe encourage individuals to take the final step after critically thinking about our cause and to take informed action by adopting or fostering animals in need.

Shuttleworth FoundationThe American Society For the

Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

The Shuttleworth Foundation was inspired by the idea to change the world for the better

Shuttleworth Foundation believes organizations should propagate ideas and invite interaction and engagement from a broad range of interested individuals and institutions.

The ASPCA’s main goal is to “to create a world where no animal will ever have to live in pain or fear”

We do not only invite interaction and engagement from individuals across the country we also have engagement from a broad range of companies such as Lowes and Subaru

How to HelpDonate to the ASPCABecome a foster family Volunteer to help in sheltersAdopt. Adopting one animal from

your local shelter is something that the average American family can do to help cut down overpopulation of feral animals and give an abandoned cat or dog a loving home
