ANNOUNCEMENT

ASNT NDT Level III ExaminationMamallapuram, Tamil Nadu, INDIANovember 4, 5 & 6, 2013The Indian Society for Non - Destructive Testing (ISNT), the National Sponsoring Organization of the American Society for Non Destructive Testing (ASNT) is pleased to announce that the ASNT NDT Level III Examination of 2013 (by the ASNT) in various methods is scheduled to be held at Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu, India on 4, 5 & 6th November 2013. The examinations will be conducted under the auspices of the American Society for Non-destructive Testing, USA by NCB-ISNT.

NDT Level III certification by ASNT (which is given only by examination) will help NDT personnel and the organizations that employ them, in promoting global acceptance of their Products and Services. The importance and the necessity for Indian Industry to compete in the International arena needs no emphasis. The details of the fee structure applicable for the Examination is given in Table-I. 5. Liquid Penetrant Testing It may please be noted that the Basic examination by itself is not considered as a method. Basic and method examination(s) must be taken to become eligible to receive a certificate for that method(s). The maximum number of examinations that can be taken is six during the three days of the Examination. Also, personnel applying for initial certification are now required to sign up for the Basic AND a Method examination; just taking the Basic examination by itself is no longer permitted. (Personnel that have passed a Method exam but failed the Basic may retake the Basic only.)The fees payable to ASNT and ISNT for the NDT Level III Examination are given in the following table:

1. The amount shown under ISNT fees includes the courier charges for the examination booklet (from and to ASNT), lunch, refreshments, applicable taxes and all other administrative expenses to be incurred by ISNT in this connection. Applicants will only be permitted to sit in the examination if both the ASNT and ISNT fees are paid in total without any dues. Even if ASNT considers the application sent by candidate directly or on account of Transfer / Postponement, the candidate needs to send ISNT payment within the due date.2. Those who are not current members of ASNT at the time of examination (i.e. as of Nov 2013) can include membership fee of USD 75 along with relevant ASNT examination fee and the surcharge. Those who are current member at the time of examination and wishing to renew the membership for one year shall include membership fee of USD 65 (refer examination documents). If no option is exercised in the membership form of application - for becoming - Member, - the fee will be $335 / $260 for each method for New / Retake respectively as applicable for Non-Members.3. The total ASNT fee including surcharge and membership fee as applicable shall be sent in the form of a crossed cheque in US Dollars favouring American Society for Non-destructive Testing and Payable in USA. Those who are applying from within India may get the necessary foreign exchange in USD from a schedule bank.

4. The ISNT fees shall be paid either by crossed demand draft in Indian Rupees favouring NCB-ISNT, payable at Chennai or by wire transfer. Cheques will not be accepted.

Following are the details for payment mode to ASNT:ASNT accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards.

Payment by cheque instructions:

1. Cheques should be made payable to ASNT

2. Cheques must be in US dollars and drawn on a US bank.

3. Cheques must have an electronic strip (detailing the account and bank information) at the bottom for processing. Checks without an electronic strip will be returned to the customer and the application will not be processed.

Wire Transfer Instructions:1. Payment must be made in US dollars.

2. If your bank requires an intermediary or correspondent bank to send the payment, you are responsible for the charges from that bank as well as your own. Payments received by ASNT must be for the full amount.3. Please include a reference when processing your wire transfer so ASNT can identify the payment. 5. Completed application form along with enclosures and proof of payment (Including credit card & wire transfer) with regard to the relevant ASNT / ISNT fees shall be sent to ASNT Level III Exam Coordinator at the address given in the first page, before the due date(AUGUST 19, 2013) 6. Incomplete applications or applications without the mentioned supporting documents and fees are liable for rejection. 7. NO APPLICATION WITH DD DATED AFTER THE DUE DATE WILL BE ACCEPTED.

8. Candidates may kindly fill up the application form as per instructions given and carefully check the same before submission.

Incomplete application forms or those without requisite enclosures and fees will be REJECTED.9. Withdrawing from the exams or requests for postponement/changes will incur administrative charges / service tax charges as applicable.The last date for receipt of completed application forms at ISNT Head Office (address given on first page) is 19th AUGUST, 2013.

Allocation of requested Exam Sessions will be on First Come First Serve basis. Once the number of seats available for a given session is filled up, NCB/ISNT will allocate an alternate session based on availability.
