Training continues through 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. WHAT TO PACK Medical staff should wear scrubs, a lab coat, and non-slip, closed-toe shoes. Gloves, caps, gowns, and masks will all be supplied. If your surgeons have an allergy to latex, please be sure to ask them to bring their own gloves. Attire for administrative staff is business casual. Our admin areas tend to be chilly. Directors (NSNRT training only) should bring their budget, service pricing, marketing materials, and any SOP materials or handbook (plus consumable purchasing and pricing if you would like to review it while in Asheville). VETERINARIAN REQUIREMENTS Your veterinarian will need to have a NC temporary license in order to perform surgeries. You have received a link to this application and it should be submitted to the NC board 60-days prior to training. CE CREDITS We oer one North Carolina CE credit per full hour of instruction for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Many other state boards will accept our credits, but you are strongly encouraged to check this with your state board prior to arrival. Please note that we are not RACE-certified. TRAINING TIDBITS We will develop your training schedule based on your input, and provide you with name tags and resources. As your training week progresses, let us know if you want to tweak your schedule to concentrate on certain areas. Your medical team (if appropriate) will train as a team, with your veterinarian performing surgery. They will receive hands-on experience in monitoring animals before and after surgery, as well as release and intake, and general clinic flow. TRAVEL A number of airlines fly into Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), which is a 20-minute drive to our campus. Car rentals are available from the airport. ASHEVILLE Downtown Asheville is a vibrant area with unique shops and restaurants. It offers many lodging options, and is just 10-minutes’ drive from our facility. ACCOMMODATIONS We have secured some preferred rates with the following hotels, but take a look around, as you may be able to find a better deal.
