Experience Missouri Agriculture The Missouri Department of Agriculture is hosting an Asia Buyers’ Mission to Missouri May 15 -19, 2017, providing companies an opportunity to meet directly with producers and manufacturers of Missouri agriculture products, as well as tour manufacturing facilities, retail shops, mills, factories, farms and other locations relevant to the delegation. Missouri’s rich farmland and long growing season support production of a diverse range of agricultural crops and livestock. Home to nearly 100,000 farms located on more than 28 million acres, Missouri boasts an abundance of products including pork, soybeans, forest products, food and feed ingredients, beef, poultry, wine and food products. Access to major water systems, rail systems, highway systems, airports and three Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs) make Missouri a great place to do business. The Missouri Department of Agriculture staff will work with Missouri’s Taiwan office director Hank Ma, commodity groups, industry experts and ag-related companies to coordinate meetings, tours, logistics and networking activities for buyers’ mission participants.
