This will be a free concert sponsored by the JSCC. 8pm 29th annual American Band College Star Spangled Spectacular - “Ashland Pops Show” - Enjoy the 200-plus members of the American Band College Master’s Degree Program at the Ashland High School Stadium on July 4th. Co-sponsored by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, the American Band College is donating $5 per ticket to assist in fundraising for the annual public fireworks show. Featured guest artist will be Grammy award-winning trumpet player, Doc Severinsen. He will perform with and conduct the 200-piece band and will also appear with ABC’s famed guest ensemble, Mariachi Sol de Mexico. This 13-member, Grammy award-winning, group will perform alone and will also appear as the featured ensemble with the 200 ABC musicians in full band arrangements. Tickets: Cripple Creek Music in Ashland, ABC’s website www.bandworld.org and at the Ashland High School Stadium beginning at 6:30pm. 10pm Public Fireworks Display presented by Ashland Chamber of Commerce from the SOU Athletic Field.
