Trip to China (Beijing, Xian & Shanghai)

DESTINATION SUMMARY

A visit to China is an experience like no other. The temples, gardens and sights of China’s capital city will be a fantastic experience and trips to the Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors and Xian will be remembered for years to come.

PROPOSED TOUR OVERVIEW (tbc)

Day 1 – Overnight flight to Beijing. Day 2 – Arrive in Beijing, lunch included. Olympic sites (Bird's Nest Stadium & Water Cube), Temple of Heaven, evening Rickshaw ride through Hutongs (Old Beijing Alleys). Day 3 – Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City, the Summer Palace. Evening Kung Fu show. (B-L-D) Day 4 – Great Wall at Juyongguan Section, Tea Ceremony and some time for shopping in Wangfujing Street. Overnight sleeper train to Xian.

PROPOSED TOUR OVERVIEW (tbc)

Day 5 – Morning arrive in Xian, transfer to hotel for breakfast, Terracotta Warriors and the Hua Qing Hot Springs. Evening Tang Dynasty show.

Day 6 – Wild Goose Pagoda and Xian City Wall, including a bike ride on the wall. Overnight sleeper train to Shanghai.

Day 7 – Morning arrive in Shanghai, transfer to hotel for breakfast. City tour of Shanghai, visiting the Oriental TV Tower (second ball), Jade Buddha Temple, the Bund.

Day 8 – Visit a local school, Yu Gardens and Bazaar shopping. Evening Chinese Acrobatic Show.

Days 9 – Transfer to the airport by coach and Maglev train.
