A’SHAWN ROBINSON, ALABAMA DEFENSIVE TACKLE

#86. A’ Shawn Robinson is a starting Junior DT at Alabama. A good athlete with great size and

big bodied for an interior lineman. He best fits a 4-3 defense as a run stopper. Slow off the ball,

has shown to explode in certain situations such as passing downs. Robinson takes too long to get

off blocks. Could be a good pass rusher if he uses his strength and finesse moves, uses swim

move, not often. Has strength and aggressiveness to dominate offensive lineman with bull rush,

is inconsistent. Lacks effort when doubled teamed. Quick at reading and reacting to the play,

does not have the quickness nor speed to get to the ball every down. Hard nose tackler with the

ability to make one arm tackles when engaged in blocks. Able to disrupt quarterbacks passing

lane, jump and deflect the ball. Has talent to become successful at the next level, will need to

prove he can consistently produce at a high level.
