Fibrous have been supplying the funeral and crematoria

industry for over sixty years. Founded in Cheshire in

1944, our business has been built on supplying direct

to Funeral Directors, Cemeteries, Crematoriums and to

Fibrous Ltd has been striving and researching for several years for an alternative which is just as functional, cost efficient AND environmentally friendly.

The Ecotainer™ is a bio degradable product that has all the function and usability of the polytainer but with the added benefit of being 100% biodegradable. The Ecotainer™ has an indefinite shelf life and will only start to biodegrade once it is placed into an active microbial environment. The Fibrous Ecotainer™ uses a process which allows the product to be consumed in the environment, turning plastic into biomass(rich soil), as well as Biogas (Anaerobic) or Co2 (Aerobic).

The Ecotainer™ will work in exactly the same way as the ‘polytainer only this time its earth friendly and will dramatically reduce the crematoria’s contribution to landfill.

Supplied in either teak or courbaril these classic style hardwood benches make a perfect memorial for any cemetery or

crematorium. Resistant and durable to weathering and climate changes. Over a period of time the wood will naturally

change to a silver-grey colour. However, the application of teak oil once or twice a year will help to maintain its original

appearance. A memorial plaque fitting service is available with all our memorial benches
