The 3 RFPs • Alternative Models: Alternative education providers for all
grades, all regions of Memphis. • Innovative Models: Must be substantially different from the
highly structured model used by many high-performing schools. Open to all grades and regions.

Meeting the Need Academic Plan
Describes the applicants plans in regard to curriculum
and instruction, assessment and goal-setting, and working with diverse student
populations.
Operations Plan Outlines operational
supports to the academic program,
including staffing and human resources,
student recruitment, and board
governance. Note that start-up applicants do
not complete all sections.
Financial Plan Provides budgeting
and financial plans to ensure both initial and
ongoing fiscal compliance. Note that start-up applicants do
not complete all questions.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING A NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY 1. Complete the School Proposal Overview Form provided in this template. 2. Complete the Eligibility Notification Form provided in this template. This form must be
signed by BOTH the main contact for your application AND the President/Chair of your board of directors.
3. Complete the Founders Application provided. 4. Combine the two word documents into a single PDF file. Name your file according to the
following convention: NAME OF OPERATOR.IntenttoApply.pdf. 5. Upload your file by emailing them to the Box online submission portal. 6. Applicants who do not submit the MANDATORY Intent to Apply forms by 5pm on March
3, 2014, will be locked out of the online application submission portal and will NOT be eligible to submit a full proposal.
