The Audience My Magazine is Set For

• For my audience research, I surveyed around 20 people in the age range of the music magazine that I am going to make, which is around 8-16 years.

• In this questionnaire, I asked them about what their favourite type of music was; what radio stations they listened to, and more about what they look for in a music magazine.

Evaluating my Audience Questionnaire

• From my audience research, I managed to find out things that would help me with the production of my music magazine

• Firstly, I found that most people would be likely to spend £2-3 on a magazine and no one would spend more than £3 on a magazine.

• This would help me, because it shows that to make people purchase my music magazine, I would need to put the magazine in a lower price bracket.

• Secondly, I found that the majority of the people that I questioned, listen to a form of pop music radio (Capital, Free Radio).

• This helped me in the production of my music magazine, because it meant that the audience that I was aiming at, were interested in pop music.

• Also, from my questionnaire I have found that people prefer informal magazines to formal magazines.

• This is not particularly surprising to me, because the age group that I questioned, would be more likely to read magazines with informal language.
