1. Introduction With over 1000 hours development, every aspect of this HUD has been careful crafted, with unprecedented levels of attention to detail throughout, while also keeping the general picture in mind. In addition, input by a handful of top professionals, each providing invaluable input, has resulted in PPH’s 6-Max HUD.

This guide is intended to help you quickly and easily install, setup, and configure the HUD. It will also provide you with a guide to the range of statistical information available as part of the HUD and outline the various forms in which it is presented.

1.1 Overview A brief summary of the features, that you will find available as part of the HUD, are listed below. Section 4 provides detailed description of the functionality present with this product and ideas about how to make best use of them.

Flexible User InterfaceThe multiple panel system allows maximum flexibility for positioning HUD groups. No matter what site you play on or what table layout you use, the HUD -has been designed to fit. It has been extensively tested on the main Pokerstars and FullTilt Poker themes and Section 6 illustrates suggested panel arrangements.

Compact LayoutWith the use of innovative features like indicators and microbadges the table HUD can accommodate far more information than traditional HUDs, without obscuring the action.

Layered Panel Arrangements The ordering of panels has been carefully designed to enable the user to slide panel behind one in such a way as to provide the ability to make the most efficient use of space while ensuring minimum

obscuration of stats.

Situational Design Philosophy

All the elements on the HUD have a logical position in relationship elements around it. Table groups, popups and tooltips are all part of one continuous flow, supported by consistent color coding, which assists the user in memorizing the meaning and associations of presented information.

Advanced Color Coding A clear coloring scheme is employed throughout to indicate suboptimal play, as well as reliability of statistics based on sample size.

Panel Magnification When playing on a small screen or mass multi-tabling in a tiled configuration, the text displayed can become extremely small and difficult to read. With a single click of the magnifying glass icon, an enlarged

version of all table panels will be displayed.

Preflop by Position (PbP) Bar The preflop position bar enables the user to quickly see opening and defending ranges of opponents in a compact form. The positional labels are also color coded to enable the user to gain further insight of mainly reactionary stats at a glance e.g. CO label indicates the level of a villain’s Fold to 3Bet After Attempted Steal from CO.

Dedicated Situational Statistics The preflop position bar [and steal / vs steal indicators] also provides access to a series of situational stats. See how a villain plays both pre and postflop in specific situations, such as Blind vs Blind, or following a Late Position again the Blinds.

Vs Hero Stats Unlike HEM2, PT4 doesn’t come with “vs hero” stats as standard. Using our advanced knowledge of the database schema, the PPH Cash HUD comes with a carefully selected collection of “vs hero” stats.

Detailed Popups Virtually every statistic contained on a panel is also a button to a specific, action linked, popup. While the popups are packed with a detailed selection of relevant statistics, they are also designed for maximum ease of use.

Table Vision Elements (TVEs) TVEs make it easier than ever to quickly see statistics, which have been broken down by position. No longer does the user have to scan through large and complex matrices, in order to find the relevant positional statistic.

Postflop Action Trees Never seen before in any HUD, ProPokerHUDs are proud to announce Postflop Action Trees. It is now possible to easily see postflop statistics given a specific sequence of previous actions. Furthermore, one can now effortlessly utilize street projection, by following a particular flow along a future series of actions in order to assess a villain’s potential play.

2. Installation

2.1 To install the 6-Max HUD Profile After completing the checkout process on the ProPokerHUDs website, the package of profiles you have purchased will be automatically delivered to your PT4 client. However, in order for the profiles to function correctly, you will also need to download and install a dedicated resources pack.

1. Complete the checkout process. It is crucial you provide the genuine information in relation to your PT4 account when requested.

2. Download the latest version of the resources pack from the ProPokerHUDs website.

3. Once the download has completed. Ensure PT4 is closed and run [as

the installation application. administrator]4. Read the license agreement carefully and follow the instructions on screen to

complete installation. 5. Restart PT4 and select the specific version of 6-Max HUD profile which is most

suitable for the game type you require.

2.2 Selecting the HUD Profile Once the restart has completed, you will need to select the MTT HUD profile, which is most suitable for the game type you require.

There are two easy ways to change your HUD Profile in PokerTracker 4.

7

Page 8: PROPOKERHUDS.COM’S 6-Max CASH HUD Cash HUD User Guide v1_00 BETA.pdf · 4.4 Steal / Vs Steal Badges ... table HUD can accommodate far more information than traditional HUDs, without

The first is changing your HUD Profile while playing or in the replayer. To do this, simply click the PT-icon chip, go to Change Profile, and select the required PPH Profile you require. While playing, you can also select t to use the “Make Active Profile Default for Table Type” current HUD Profile for the table type you are on e.g if you are playing a 6-max Cash Game on Pokerstars and select the “Cash – PPH NL … Profile” and select make active profile, the Cash HUD profile will be used for future 6-max Cash tables.

You may also click HUD from the main menu and select Edit Hud Options. This will bring up the Hud Options Configuration window which allows you to add definitions for certain HUD profiles. Via this approach, you could for instance you could select to just use the MTT HUD for 6max MTT’s on PokerStars, and/or a wide variety of other definitions.

Simply use the appropriate drop-down menus to create your definition and click . You Add

may also delete any active profile definition selecting it and clicking . Once you have Delete

added all the games / sites you wish to use the Cash HUD, click to save your changes. OK

2.3 Creating HUD Filters We highly recommend that you set the HUD filter to take account of the number of players.

To configure this option, go to , and this will bring up the HUD -> Edit Hud Options HUD

window. Options Configuration

2.4 Panel Placement When designing the 6-Max HUD, significant time has been spent ensuring a flexible design enabling its use across all major sites. As a result, there are 5 individual panels associated with each player at the table, which require careful placement.

The first time you HUD on a particular site, you will more than likely find that all the panels are spread out randomly across the table. In order to be able to arrange the panels into a neat configuration, the first thing you need to do is unlock the layout, which can be achieved by clicking upon the PT4 table icon and selecting the appropriate menu option.

Once the layout is unlocked, we suggest that the optimal method of discovering which panels are associated with a particular player is by using the temporarily setting a player’s stats into “session only” mode. This is can be achieved by double clicking on an empty area of the General Info Panel. All panels associated with that player should light up with a yellow border.

10

Page 11: PROPOKERHUDS.COM’S 6-Max CASH HUD Cash HUD User Guide v1_00 BETA.pdf · 4.4 Steal / Vs Steal Badges ... table HUD can accommodate far more information than traditional HUDs, without

Once you have arranged the panels for a player, double click again on an empty area of a panel and the yellow border should disappear. Repeat this process for each player.

Once all HUD panels have been positioned as desired, click upon the PT4 table icon and selecting “lock and save layout” from the menu to store this arrangement.

You will find suggested arrangements of the panel for the major sites / themes later in this manual.

TROUBLESHOOTING If any panels appear to be missing, try temporarily making the table smaller as you may find that the PT4 has decided to initially place them outside of the table. Drag them onto the playing surface and then resize to the table size you usually play at.

It should also be noted that PT4 requires a hands to be played at the table, before it can establish the true position of all players. Thus, if you try to layout the HUD while observing a table, you may find that when you attempt to play that HUD panels are associated with the incorrect seats.

In theory the PT4 vector rendering engine should ensure that no matter what size your table the panels should remain in the same relative position. However, during the course of constructing the 6-Max HUD, we have found that resizing the table size can cause significant differences in relative panel sizes (especially at small table sizes). Thus, we recommend you attempt to setup your configuration with the table at your default playing size.

3. 6-Max HUD Features The 6-Max HUD incorporates a series of radical new approaches to the layout and representation of statistics. This section attempts to provide an overview of these features, in order to give the user a better understanding of how to make optimal use of them during gameplay.

3.1 Situational Design Philosophy Stats are arranged (where possible) such that reading a panel from left to right should mirror the potential progress of a hand from the perspective of a player i.e. the top line of the Primary Panel is,

Limp | 2Bet | Fold to 3Bet After 2Bet | Steal | Fold to 3Bet after Steal

Furthermore, pairs of related actions are located next to one another e,g, to the right of the CB (cbet) label, the statistics presented are cbet followed by “fold to raise after cbet”.

In addition, where possible and relevant, the order of statistics should mirror the order in which most poker client action buttons are arranged i.e fold, call, raise.

3.2 Statistical Color Coding The color coding of statistics follows the general principle that red is used to signify an aggressive value for a particular statistic and green for a passive. Color coding of many important statistics also considers sample size. In these cases, under a small sample size they will appear greyed out as their value is not a trustworthy indication of a player actual playing style. Furthermore, below a statistically significant sample size, the color will appear dulled, to indicate that one should exercise caution when using them to make important decisions.

Should you wish to choose a different color coding scheme, you may override the inbuilt schema using the functionality in the HUD Profile Editor. Color Ranges

13

Page 14: PROPOKERHUDS.COM’S 6-Max CASH HUD Cash HUD User Guide v1_00 BETA.pdf · 4.4 Steal / Vs Steal Badges ... table HUD can accommodate far more information than traditional HUDs, without

3.2 Double Indicator Badge A double indicator displays two pieces of related information at the same time. Unlike the other two indicators used in the HUD, they don’t change shape in relation to value, rather color coding alone is used to represent statistical values.

The rectangular area is used to represent aggressive action and inner ring to the associated reactive statistic. e.g A double indicator is used to combine Attempt to

Steal % and [Rectangular Area] (after attempting to steal) Fold to 3bet % . [inner ring]

Color coding is used to represent the value of each statistic, using the general coloring principles of Cash HUD, described in Seciont 3.2 of this manual. However, two slightly different color palettes are used in order to delineate between the rectangular (dull palette) and the inner ring (bright palette).

NOTE Unlike the indicators it does not make use of a dulled color palette to represent a statistic with a low sample size. Dual indicators already use two different color palettes and thus it was felt that adding this further layer of complexity would make things the representations too ambiguous.

Page 15: PROPOKERHUDS.COM’S 6-Max CASH HUD Cash HUD User Guide v1_00 BETA.pdf · 4.4 Steal / Vs Steal Badges ... table HUD can accommodate far more information than traditional HUDs, without

3.4 Panel MagnificationAn enlarged version of a player’s statistics is available by clicking the magnifying glass icon. This is especially useful when playing many tables in a tiled configuration, especially on a high resolution monitor, where the size of text may be very small.

3.6 Table Vision Elements (TVEs)TVEs are components of popups, which are designed to resemble the seating arrangements of online poker tables. They are used to present positional statistics in an easy to view format as a replacement for the large and unclear tables that many other HUDs employ to display this types of information. The exact number of actions / opportunities may be obtained using PT4’s tooltip system.

15

Page 16: PROPOKERHUDS.COM’S 6-Max CASH HUD Cash HUD User Guide v1_00 BETA.pdf · 4.4 Steal / Vs Steal Badges ... table HUD can accommodate far more information than traditional HUDs, without

3.7 Polar Area Charts Polar area charts are similar to standard pie charts, except sectors are equal. The value represented by each is then illustrated by the distance a wedge extends from the center.

The 6-Max HUD utilizes a form of polar area charts, which enable 3 related statistics to be illustrated in a clear and concise manner.

3.7 Postflop Flow Charts Stats are displayed graphically as a series of partial game trees, enabling to see stats in context.

4. 6-Max HUD Panels There are 6 “always visible” panels associated with each opponent at the table. Every statistic/indicator/text label displayed on these panels also acts as a button to a specific, action linked, popup. The hero’s information is displayed via a dedicated panel, displaying a selection of statistics which are significant…...

Unless otherwise stated, all the panels shown for illustrative purposes are captured from the premium version, with the indicator based profile. The appearance of other configurations of the 6-Max HUD may vary slightly.

17

4.1 Player Info Panel

Opponent Info Panel This panel provides a general overview of a player and reflects the statistics that traditional HUD layouts contain. In addition to providing a familiar and “legacy” support, it shows statistics which enable a general player profiling from small sample sizes.

Hero Info Panel The info panel for the hero differs from that of the opponents, due to the fact that statistics for the Hero in PT4 are only for the current table session. Thus, the number of incidences of the actions required for most detailed statistics will never surpass the required sample size to become statistically significant.

5.3 Featured Pop-Ups There are a few pop-ups, which contain novel visualizations or statistics and thus require further explanation.

Postflop Action Summary [Premium Version Only] Available by clicking on the AFq microbadge (located on the Main Player Info Panel), it provides a summary of a player’s postflop tendencies. Utilizing polar area charts introduced in Section 4.7, this pop-up provides the user with a clear graphical summary of the frequencies of a villain’s various postflop actions.

In addition to the commonly used AFq, PPHs 6-Max HUD also introduces two new postflop summary statistics, Fold Fq and Call Fq. For clarity, the formulae used for each is provided below, given that several different types of aggression statistics are commonly used in poker tracking software.

The ratio of that a player fold to all other possible actions when facing a bet Fold Fq -

(# folds / (# calls + # folds + # bets + # raises)) * 100

The ratio of that a player bets or raises to all other possible actions Agg Fq –

((# bets + # raises) / (# calls + # folds + # bets + # raises)) * 100

The ratio of that a player calls a bet to all other possible actions Call Fq - (# calls / (# calls + # folds + # bets + # raises)) * 100
