When preparing your brand logos and artwork for production, we need to ensure that our design team has access to high quality art that can be resized to look clean on all applications. To do so, we need to work with Vector Files (see the difference below). ARTWORK INSPIRATION

Below you will see the difference between vectors and raster files. A vector graphic will stay clean and crisp at any size while a raster graphic will loose quality rather quickly.

There are circumstances when our customers don’t have access to their artwork in vector form. In this case we will accept a raster file which may need to be re-created by our team which will incur a recreation fee. Check out what this process looks like below:

We often get requests to print a design on a wide array of garment colors. Due to the fact that a dark ink will not stand out on a dark fabric, we will have to use an additional screen to print a lighter color on the darker garments. We can also work with the art to maintain its intended look. To do this, our designers will invert your art by hand, instead of simply creating a negative of the art, which is essentially changing the ink colors without altering the art at all. Below is an example of how this could change your art:

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Inverting Artwork

Artwork Recreation

As you can see this art will look fine on a lighter garment, but once we try

printing on a dark garment you will

loose the design completely.

In the example above, our designers

have gone in and manually inverted

each aspect of your design so that

it will retain optimal quality on the

finished garment.

a dark shirt if we simply switched the

ink to a lighter color

Our goal is to make you and your brand look good, with this our design team does whatever they can to make your artwork print at the highest possible quality. After many years of doing what we do, we’ve come across some recurring questions that we’d like to clear up for you here.
