Album ArtworkPast Albums:

• Bad Blood (4th March 2013)• All This Bad Blood (25th November 2013 – Re-Release)

The album covers for Bad Blood and All This Bad Blood reveal a continuous theme. The covers seem to be creating the feel of a film poster, also creating a dramatic feel to the album, reinforced by the genre of the album. The band have only released two albums, the second which is a re-release, meaning the theming of the album will be very similar. The album covers feature a man (Dan) running from seems to be an oncoming car. The car featured in the Things We Lost In The Fire music video appears in the second album cover (supposedly the same car chasing Dan) with a pool of blood surrounding the drivers side of the car, suggesting Dan was killed. The imagery of blood reinforces the album title.

The album covers also seem to be focusing on a more mature audience (18+) even though the fanbase for Bastille seems to range from around 15 and above. The violent themes show the bands desire to be taken seriously and show them to be different compared to most alternative artists and bands.

Magazine Adverts

Bastille have not promoted their album through the use of posters or magazine adverts, they have mainly relied on social media and television adverts (Dancing On Ice). The band however have published tour posters in magazines and online to help promote the ticket sales for their tours. The tour posters follow the same themes of the albums.

Single ReleaseThe song “Things We Lost In The Fire” was released as a single on the 23rd of August 2013. The single cover features, once again, a similar theme to the album covers. However, the single cover image is taken from the actual music video for the song (13th July 2013). The singles for the Bad Blood era all feature a similar font and textual styling but the cover image do not seem to have any similarities. The Things We Lost In The Fire appears to be the only single cover with any similarities to the album covers.
