ArtikPix - Full (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad) has 913 cards to practice speech sounds in interactive flashcard and matching activities. Word and sentence levels with group scoring are available in the flashcards.

Flashcards

Tap the Flashcards cloud to practice sounds in words and sentences via a flick album.

Choose two decks by first tapping the th cards, then swiping across the screen from right to left. Tap the s cards and the Done button .

Keep the box checked for Shuffle Cards. Then, tap the sound group check marks to deselect middle th and middle s. Finally, tap the Done button to begin the flashcard activity.

Listen to the audio, then tap one of the “who” ghosted images for group scoring. Up to four students can be added to the group scoring session for flashcards.

Tap the plus sign to add a new student.

Type the student’s first and/or last name then add a photo by taking or choosing a photo. If you don’t add a photo, the child’s initials will be used in group scoring. Tap Done . After the student is added, tap on the student’s name to choose for group scoring during flashcards.

Listen to the audio, then tap a student’s photo/initials when it’s his/her turn. Hold on a student photo/initials to take notes or to remove. Tap the mic to record speech then stop and play it. Tally (for the sound group) correct with the smile or incorrect with the frown . Flip over the card for a sentence. To finish, tap Done .

Copying and saving scores

Tap a student’s photo/initials to see his/her scores. You can also add notes in the note box for the student selected. Then, notice that the papers button is for copying scores and the folder is for saving. Tap the folder to save all student scores from the group scoring session.

To view saved scores, tap on a student who was in the recent group scoring session .

If necessary, scroll down to see scores for the student in a given time-stamped session. Note that scores are displayed by word/sentence level and the sound group. Tap back to see Students, then choose another student’s scores from the session. Finally, tap the home button .

Matching

On the home screen, tap the Matching cloud to practice sounds in words during a memory game. Then, swipe across the screen from right to left to navigate the decks and select the l and j decks. Tap the Done button to proceed.

Tap the sound group check marks

to deselect all, except beginning l and beginning j.Tap Done to choose a matching level.

ArtikPix has three levels of matching: Easy with 3 pairs of cards, Medium with 6 pairs of cards, and Hard with 10 pairs of cards. Tap Medium .

Tap two cards to make a match. After the cards flip, record and play speech , and collect scores for the sound group on the card. Scores are collected for the last card tapped. If a tallying mistake is made, tap the numbers immediately to undo. Complete the game or tap Done .

Detailed scoring by sound group (beginning l, beginning j) is summarized on the Nice Job! screen. Tap the folder to save the scores for one student. Choose the student to save scores, then tap the home button

Options

On the home screen, tap the gears for Options. Set the Flashcard Autoplay OFF and Scores Sounds OFF . Press the back arrow, then tap the Flashcards cloud on the home screen. Begin the activity with the new configurations.
