Artificial Intelligence Solutions Within the Automotive Industry
Francisco Illanes, Iain LetourneauNathan Hupman& Max Jackman
IntroductionThe subject of research is Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the automotive industry. Many advances have been made to make vehicles “smarter” and safer
- Advances in Collision Detection- Parking Assistance Technology
-AI-Assisted Controls-Conclusion
Definiton
• LIDAR (Light Detection And Ranging): A mixture of radar and laser technology, which measures scattered light to find range or other information on a distant target through the use of laser pulses. You will often see police officers using lidar equipment to track vehicle’s speed.
• GFLOP: A unit for measuring calculations per second, 1 GFLOP being equal to 1 billion calculations per second.
• GHz: Measurement of speed in cycles per second, in this case applied to measure the speed of a computer’s processor. 1 GHz is equal to 1 billion cycles per second.
