Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial means “any thing made by human” and Intelligence mean “Cleverness”.

A Cleverness made by human is called “Artificial Intelligence (AI).

AI is a man made intelligence that makes machine doing work like human. It is the invention of 5th Generation of computers.

Artificial Intelligence (Cont…)

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the intelligence of machines andthe branch of computer science that aims to create it.

John McCarthy, who coined the term in 1956, defines it as

"the science and engineering of making intelligent machines."

Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, structural disposition, manufacture and application of robots.

The word "robot" was introduced to the public by Czech writer Karel Čapek in his play R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots), published in 1920. The term "robotics" was coined by Isaac Asimov in his 1941 science fiction short-story "Liar!"

Robotics - Examples…

John Marshall , A German Scientist had invented in 1986 a robot named “Zuro”, which had a sensor that can feel the fire/smoke and puts off that fire.

Alferd Dogma , An American Scientist had invented in 2005 a robot named “Robowash”, which had a sensor that can feel the dust and water on the floor and cleans whole the floor.

An expert system is software that uses a knowledge base of human expertise for problem solving, or clarify uncertainties where normally one or more human experts would need to be consulted.

Expert System – Examples…

It is a software, developed by Mike Bosten, which helps finance officers of foreign affairs to know each and everything about currency of any country and their exchange rate.

It is a software, developed by Yushan meing, in which 76 languages and can convert sentence from one language to another language

Virtual Reality (VR)

Virtual reality (VR) is a term that applies to computer-simulated environments that can simulate physical presence in places in the real world, as well as in imaginary worlds.

The simulated environment can be similar to the real world—for example, in simulations for pilot or combat training—or it can differ significantly from reality, such as in VR games.
