ASTROLOGICAL COMBINATIONS FOR

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)



Introduction

S.I.D.S stands for “Sudden Infant Death Syndrome”.

Early death aka Balarishta is possible due to a variety of reasons. Some of them are:

1. A unique combination of Mars in 7th, Rahu in 9th, Saturn in 1st, Jupiter in 3rd and Venus in 6th

are also sometimes considered as a sign for Balarishta.

2. A general perception is that when malefics are in 2nd or 6th or 8th or 12th houses

and the dasha balance is one of these, then there is a possibility for Balarishta.

3. A general perception is that when malefics are in 5th or 8th or 9th or 12th houses

without the aspect of STRONG benefic planets, then there is a possibility for

Balarishta.

4. When the 6th, 3th and 12th houses are occupied by malefics with no benefic associations

and Venus or Jupiter is between malefics, the child dies early.

5. If malefics occupy the 1st, 6th, 7th and 8th houses from Lagna, the child dies early.



6. If malefics occupy the 6th and 12th houses from Lagna, the child dies soon after birth.

7. If the Sun, Mars and Saturn occupy the 5th or 6th or the 8th house from Lagna with no

benefic conjunctions or aspects, the child dies quickly.

8. If the Langa lord is debilitated and Saturn occupies the 7th or the 8th house from Lagna,

the child suffers much and dies quickly.

9. If Saturn is a malefic planet and/or Retrograde, it plays a very important role in native’s

longevity.

10. Rahu in 8th or 12th house does have an additional impact on the native’s longevity.

Finally, using the known BSP (Bhrigu Sarala Padathi) rules, check if Saturn and Jupiter are

affecting any of these above mentioned houses.



Procedure to validate MOON characteristics for early death

Some of the validations on Moon’s placement and other characteristics are:

1. Moon is weak or ill-placed or afflicted by malefics (thru conjunction or aspect).

2. When Moon is in the 6th house from the Lagna (Ascendant) causes Balarishta, an affliction

by either Mars or Saturn can be the cause of death due to unrecognizable diseases.

3. If the Moon occupies the 8th, 12th or the 6th house and is aspected by malefic Rahu, the

child dies early.

4. If the Moon in Lagna with no benefic aspects, and if hemmed between malefic planets, the

child dies early.

5. If the Moon conjoined with malefics in the 1st or 5th or 7th or 9th or 12th and the Moon is

NOT aspected by any benefics or NOT cojoined with any benefics, the child dies early.

6. When the Moon and Rahu conjoin with a malefic and Mars occupies the 8th house, the

chiid dies early.



Procedure to analyze Trimsamasa (D-30) Chart for early death

Some of the validations on D-30 Chart are:

Lord of Trimshamsha is always to some extent a trouble-maker. If this lord is a malefic in

D-1 chart, then the impact gets amplified.

Any affliction to Moon will cause ill-health and death.

While 6th house deals with diseases, 8th deals with death and 12th rules place of remedy

(hospitals/rehabilitation centers). Saturn placed in such a place (6th or 7th or 8th) or as it’s

lord, is not good, as it delays the recovery from diseases.



Case Studies Using the Astro-Databank website, the birth details information were gathered for analysis.

Chart 1 & 4 - are full-fledged “Kalasarpha Yoga/Dosha”.

Chart 2, 3, 5 & 6 – Moon is out of the Rahu-Ketu axis.

Chart 1 , 2, 3 & 6 – At the time of birth, Planet with Balance period was afflicted Moon.

In chart 2 and 3, it is clearly noted that Lagna, Moon, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter are in the same

Zodiac Sign and same houses, eventhough they were born in two geographically different

places and different months in the same year. While native of chart #2 was alive for 10 months,

the other for 3 months only.
