Enriched Children Stronger Communities
ArtHouse MomentsANNUAL REVIEW Year Ended June 30-2014
ArtHouse provides accessible, innovative, creative, cost-free extra-curricular arts programs led by professional instructors for children 7-12.
Children that may not have access to fee-related programs are considered first through the ArtHouse Front of the Line Program Registration Policy.
“As a single mom, without these cost free activities I wouldn’t have been able to afford having my son in such classes. Words simply can’t express the gratitude I have in my heart for all involved in making “ArtHouse” the phenomenal group that it is. You are all an inspiration to this world.”
– Liz Tavares
ArtHouse works with professional arts Instructors who bring out the best in our children, providing transformative programming in a variety of mediums.
With the support of over 80 volunteers, our children are welcomed into a safe, inspiring environment with focused teaching on creative and social skills. Healthy snacks are offered at all programs thanks to Food For Life.
“This collaboration of service brings greater access of programming to the families we serve. We are thrilled and humbled to be part of the ArtHouse family.”
Barbara Ferrone – Executive Director Big Brothers Big Sisters

We Engage
“I am truly inspired by the incredible impact “ArtHouse at the Y” has had on over 200 children we have worked with during the last three years. I can’t think of a more enriching experience for young children than a program that successfully combines the value of a quality arts experience along with the benefit of physical activity.”
Lisa Rankin - Vice President, Child Care and Community Initiatives - YMCA of Oakville

“It is very rewarding to see children who have been placed in some serious adult/parenting/responsibility roles at home to have the chance to just enjoy being a kid. There were some bright smiles yesterday on faces that are too often straining not to cry. “
