The seamless integration of McDermott’s worldwide capabilities and innovative float-over installation technology ensured schedule certainty of this large integrated topsides. Despite a demanding schedule and conditions, more than 5.5 million man hours were recorded without a Lost Time Incident. Engineering: Float-over engineering design, testing and conversion of Intermac 650 transport and rapid-ballast float-over installation barge were carried out by Houston, New Orleans and Singapore offices. Construction engineering for the topsides was performed at Batam Island, with installation engineering support from Dubai. Procurement: Activities were spread throughout Asia Pacific. Construction: Fabrication of 18,739 ST integrated topsides and 5,511 ST, 6.5 feet diameter, eight-leg jacket was completed at the Batam Island fabrication facility. Installation: The deck was installed using Intermac 650 float-over technology.
