FUNDAMENTALLY ABOUT YOUR MUSICAL EXPLORATIONS For musicians and vocalists experienced in any musical tradition – classical, jazz, theater, rock, ethnic, avant-garde, et al. In an energetic, humorous and open-minded environment, discover how to move beyond the limits of musical training while playing at the peak of your technical and expressive ability. All instruments welcome – acoustic, electric, winds, strings, hand drums, percussion and home-made innovations. For beginners and professionals alike. Prior experience in improvisation or music is not necessary. Release inhibitions. Increase skill and confidence. Grow musically. Jam with other creative participants in large and small groups. This workshop is based on the concept that listening and imitation are the most fundamental musical skills. In this approach, there are no “wrong notes.” A supportive humanistic approach, we promote authentic music-making by creating music “in the moment” and playing through the heart. Choice of participating in one of three separate tracks daily: LEADING LAB | Develop and practice group facilitation skills. VOCAL TRACK | Explore vocal expression. PERFORMANCE TRACK | Deepen your musicianship for music improvisation.
