OBJECTIVE

Students will be able to identify and understand the word value and the colors on the color wheel through designing a replica of one of their most valued artist’s artwork on their own treasure box. Students will also be able to identify an object that is treasure to them.

One empty shoe box per student (lid included) Drawing Pad Scissors Glue Tempera Paint Paper Plates Cup of Water Brushes: both wide and narrow Paper Towels Markers Colored Pencils Chalk Pastels/Oil Pastels One object of value per student (this will have already been

discussed in a previous class)

Put clay around whatever medium they choose

Provide them with a bigger shoebox
