Dear Heart Supporters, As most of you know, this has been a year of many changes for Friendship Heart Gallery – new Artists, new Team Members and a new location. We appreciate your ongoing support as we continue to grow. Our new location in downtown Lancaster has been a true blessing, as we have been
welcomed into the community with open arms. Since our grand opening in September, we have added new Heart Artists and begun evening studio art classes. Our day classes have expanded and now the Heart program serves more the 45 creative Individuals.
We have also welcomed new staff to our downtown location – I, the new Gallery Coordinator, and Rachel Friesen, the new Gallery Associate. We want to express our gratitude to those who came before us, especially Marsha Petery, the former Gallery Coordinator, in getting us this far. We hope only to further their efforts through your support. I fell in love with Friendship Community over 8 years ago, as a high school student, helping with Aktion Club. My love for this organization, its Individuals, its Mission and the Heart Program has only grown over time. I very much look forward to my time here and hope you leave this evening’s event with the same love I have for our Individuals and our Program. As we continue our journey, please do not be a stranger! We always welcome visitors at the Gallery. While you’re visiting, there is delicious Miesse Candies just across the hall and the beautiful Steeple View Loft Apartments upstairs! You may contact us by phone at (717) 945-6904 or by email at [email protected]. Feel free to visit our website at FriendshipArt.net and also our Facebook page. We thank you all for helping us to celebrate the capabilities of our Individuals and urge you to support our mission in any capacity you are able. We continue to serve our Lord through the creation of art by our talented Artists and we hope you will join us on this journey! Many blessings, Gabi Kime, Gallery Coordinator

Amy is a very skillful and detail-oriented painter with a unique, decorative style. She learns new techniques quickly and focuses carefully on each task. When she was given the opportunity to collaborate with professional artist, Liz Hess, on the signature piece for this year’s auction, Amy was thrilled. “She did an excellent job,” Liz said, “I basically drew the design of the piece, then Amy
came in and painted within those guidelines.” Amy is always friendly and has a kind smile for everyone.

Fred Forry incorporates many different techniques into his creative painting style. He is especially successful at bold abstracts and paintings of churches. Fred’s contribution to this year’s Auction is a beautiful abstract landscape, “Rainbow,” that was displayed in the 2013 Art Enables exhibit in Washington, DC.
When Bob Woodside delivered his two magnificent sculptures to the Friendship Heart Gallery to be painted, he clearly expressed his desire to have as many of the Heart Artists as possible be included in this project. Below are the names of the Heart Artists who carefully and joyfully applied their brushes to “Friendship” and “The Little Train That Could.”

To the Artists…
On behalf of the Friendship Heart Gallery Art Auction Committee, we want to express our gratitude to all the Artists who have elected to
participate in our Art Auction Extravaganza this year. This event would not be possible without your generosity and desire to support Artists
with developmental disabilities.
To the Guests…
Thank you for attending this benefit event. Your purchase tonight goes beyond dollars and cents. It impacts a program that is making a difference for Artists with disabilities. You are making it possible for people with developmental disabilities to receive studio instruction,
exhibit their creative work and harmonize with the larger community to cultivate their capabilities in ways never thought possible.
Reserves Prices listed for all items indicate the retail value of each piece. You
will note that some items in this program are marked with an asterisk. This indicates that there is a reserve sale amount on that
piece, meaning that the Artist does not wish the piece to sell below an undisclosed amount.
Commission All the artists participating in this event use their talent to honor and glorify their Lord and Creator. For some participating Artists, the sale
of their creations is their livelihood. Though they are asked frequently to donate to other such events, the Artists have elected to support the
mission of Friendship Heart Gallery.
