Stainless Steel Retaining Magnets

The Series 500 electromagnetic door holder has been designed for use on self closing fire and smoke check doors and can be interfaced with new and existing fire alarm control systems, smoke detectors, sprinklers or other safety warning systems.

Their principle uses are to hold open fire check doors, thus ensuring unimpeded access, and also to allow the door to close in the event of activation of the fire alarm.

The 24Vdc electromagnets have a holding force of 11kg which is sufficient to hold the door in the open position and also allows the door to be easily pulled away into the closed position in the event of an emergency situation.

Transformer Rectifier Range (for use with Retaining devices)

The TR Range is a non-regulated DC Power Supply available in 1, 2 & 4 Amp options. A mains present indicator (Green LED) and fault indicator (Red LED) are provided. Remote switching of the 24 volt dc output can be achieved by means of either an external contact (opening or closing) or an external 24 volt DC switched supply. The latter is frequently used when switching DC Electromagnetic Door Retainers.

The ideal application is to power Fire Door Hold Open Magnets, which will be released on activation of the Fire Alarm. The TR will provide a nominal 24 volt dc supply at its maximum output current for the operation of 24 volt field equipment.

Note: This product is not suitable for use with back-up batteries.

It is ideal for use with our series of retaining magnets or our range of electro magnetic door closers

Manufactured from cast aluminium, Redlam panic bolts are the economical solution to the problem of providing reliable security for internal emergency exits.

Mark I• Designed for emergency exit single doors. Breaking the CeramtubeTM results in the

bolt sliding back automatically and unlocking the door.

Mark II• Designed for interconnecting emergency exit doors. Operates on one side of the door

by breaking the CeramtubeTM and on the other side of the door by pushing the knob.• Both versions are supplied complete with hammer and chain. Padlocks and “To

open break tube” signs are available separately. Use of an optional padlock prevents unauthorized removal of CeramtubeTM without breaking the tube itself.
