Men’s Breakfast Canceled: The Tuesday Men’s breakfast will not meet January 21. The breakfast will resume January 28. Prayer Group: Men and women are welcome to join a prayer group that meets weekly at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays in the parlor. Time2PEEP: We will host our young friends from The Assembly from noon to 2 p.m. today with lunch provided for a time of playing, eating, praying, and encouragement. Families are welcome. First- through sixth-graders, make plans to be there! If you would like to volunteer, please contact Charissa Canfield, 843-621-0940. Women in Ministry: WIM will be gathering items throughout the months of December and January for “Cold Weather Bags” in support of the House of Hope’s ministry to the homeless. Items for the bags include: hand warmers, packets of hot chocolate/instant coffee/ramen noodles, bottles of water, socks, gloves, toboggan beanies, and hand sanitizer. There is a box in the Welcome Center for the items. WIM Mid-Winter Gathering: The annual gathering will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, January 25. Women in the church are invited to come! We will put together the Cold Weather Bags, enjoy fellowship, and a light lunch. Red Cross Blood Drive: First Presbyterian will host a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, and is in need of donors. Please spread the word to encourage others to give the gift of life. Stretch Your Faith fitness class is held at 5:15 p.m. on Mondays in the fellowship hall. They have finalized the job description, and a summary of the job description has been posted on the church website. Please pass along the information to anyone you know who may be interested in the position. You are encouraged to reach out to any of the committee members if you have questions or comments. Your input is welcomed, and your prayers are needed! Meals on Wheels: There is a need in our community for delivery of meals to some of Florence’s homebound elderly. This initiative launches out of the Leatherman Senior Center daily. Meals are prepared and deliveries are made to over 300 people each day. As many as 135 are still on the waiting list because of lack of funding and volunteers to deliver.
