ARQUITECTURA Engli sh Summ ary FOCUS ON MADRID On a city like Madrid, activities abound, the majo- rity of them promoted by City Hall, and, the release of General Urban Planning Project, was the one that AR- QUITECTURA cou ld never miss. W e include an article that respectf ully criticizes all the elements of this General Plan, with the addition of a graphic presentation by the h ea doffice of City Hall, exclusively addressed to the readers of th is magazine. Th ese articles represent a two-way approach to open a public debate to a lengthy and complicated project, that does not represent the opinion of the Architects' Association, but that of th e editors of ARQUITEC- TURA. Th e opinion of the Architects' Association will be óf Jicially released in due time as well as its recommenda- tions to the Plan. In order to prepare these recomen da - tions to the Plan, the Association has held a series of workshops, whose contents will be release promptly. Another report gathers a ·selection of the different works assigned to architects by the Planning Bureau, to design several specif ic projects within the frame of Par- tial Plan and the Housing Draft. W e include an article that respectf ully criticizes all the elements of this General Plan, with the addition of a graphic presentation by the headoffice of City Hall, exclusively addressed to the readers of this magazine.
These articles represent a two-way approach to open a public debate to a lengthy and complicated project, that does not represent the opinion of the Architects' Association, but that of the editors of ARQUITECTURA.
