BIOSCIENCES MANAGEMENT
The life sciences are one of today’s fastest-growing business sectors. This program, taught by faculty with vast experience in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, brings together both the scientific and management disciplines to prepare you for this technology-focused environment.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP & TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALIZATION
This hands-on concentration focuses on evaluating the commercial potential of emerging technologies. Students engage in each stage of the commercialization cycle, collaborating with graduate students from other disciplines as well as with the technology owners and seasoned entrepreneurs.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Sound financial practices are vital for the success of today’s businesses. This concentration provides a solid, real-world understanding of financial management, with particular attention to the financial issues faced by entrepreneurial, high-growth, and technology-driven companies. The SunTrust MBA Investment Fund allows students to manage an equity and bond portfolio using $100,000 donated by SunTrust.
INNOVATION MANAGEMENT
A successful idea requires many minds in many disciplines. This innovative concentration – team-taught by faculty from engineering, management and textiles – gives the practical product development experience you need to effectively lead corporate innovation efforts and entrepreneurial new business ventures.
MARKETING MANAGEMENT
Today’s fast-paced, always evolving marketplace requires informed and quick decision-making. This concentration takes a hands-on approach to help you develop the knowledge and skills necessary to make effective decisions in environments where products, markets and technology are rapidly changing. In addition to market research and brand management, we also specialize in marketing analytics.
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Today’s supply chain management industry needs professionals who can integrate and optimize the entire flow of the end-to-end supply chain. HOW TO APPLY
At Jenkins, we are committed to welcoming competitive individuals from all walks of life who want to expand their business skills inside and outside of the classroom. We help you roll up your sleeves, get real, and get started on the most important step of your career.
Our admissions requirements are competitive. Successful candidates exhibit:
• A high level of intellectual aptitude and performance
• An employment history demonstrating management experience or potential
• Personal attributes that suggest leadership, maturity, and a teamwork orientation
• A commitment to personal and professional success
Previous undergaduate and graduate work are a baseline for intellectual performance and potential. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Course selection, rigor of the major, and academic caliber of the institution are also assessed.
Two years of work experience after completion of an undergraduate degree is strongly recommended for full-time students. Professional program students must have at least two years of full-time, post-baccalaureate work experience. Volunteer and military experience can help strengthen an application.
All applicants are required to submit official GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examination)

Interview
scores unless they qualify for a waiver. There is no preference between the two tests and scores for both are valid for five years. Applicants with the US degree equivalent of a Ph.D., Pharm.D., JD, or MD are automatically waived from the GMAT/GRE. The Admissions Committee will consider waivers for other competitive applicants who submit a waiver request prior to applying. Details on waiver requests may be found at MBA.NCSU.EDU.
International students who have not completed one year of full-time study in the U.S. must also submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores to complete the application. A minimum score of 100 is required for the internet-based TOEFL or 7.5 on the IELTS. Professional program applicants should check the MBA website for information on TOEFL waivers.
Pre-requisite courses are not required at the time of application; however, a college-level statistics or calculus course must be completed with a grade of C or higher prior to the start of MBA coursework.

To be considered for any of the NC State financial aid listed below, it is to your advantage to apply to the MBA Program by the January deadline. Graduate Assistantships and NC State scholarships are available to full-time students only.
GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS
Awarded to students showing academic promise with the ability to help with teaching and advising in the College of Management. Compensation includes full or partial tuition coverage, health insurance, and a stipend of $3,000 per semester.
MBA SCHOLARS
Awarded to students showing academic promise with the desire to complete a concentration in supply chain management, entrepreneurship, or marketing. Compensation includes full tuition coverage, health insurance, and a stipend of $6,000 per semester. Application details are available on the MBA website. The MBA Scholars program is available to full-time students only.
MBA MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
Awarded to students showing academic promise who have not received a Graduate Assistantship. Compensation varies. MBA Merit-Based scholarships are available to full-time students only.
