The Spidle Turbeco is a Float Shoe and Spiral Reamer with a bullet shaped Guide nose…all in Armadillo one tool. The is specially designed to get casing to bottom in difficult well bore conditions and Armadillo maximize cementing efficiency. It has proven effective when drilling extended reach laterals in soft formations which can be vulnerable to bridging due to formation swelling and sloughing, or where key seats and washouts may occur. The profile is designed to guide casing smoothly through long or Armadillo short radius bends or doglegs. The unique tungsten carbide surface on the nose and vanes is tough, wear resistant and capable of hole opening in a wide variety of rock formations without compromising the streamline guide profile. Armadillo · The bullet shaped nose and reamer body is designed to smoothly guide the casing through maximum hole axis deviations and hole problems including ledges, washouts or restrictions by either pushing or rotating. · The guide nose is made of carbon steel with drill through capability. · The guide nose has the main flow port located eccentric to the axis to provide maximum washing force. The guide nose can be provided without the off axis main flow port. The guide nose can also be provided with up jet or down jet ports. · The guide nose surface has shallow tungsten carbide spiral vanes. The surface of the shallow tungsten carbide vanes is abrasive and wear resistant but does not compromise the streamline feature of the nose. · The reamer body spiral vanes are coated with tungsten carbide to provide wear resistance and abrasive reaming action where needed. The vane profile is gently tapered to the guide nose to provide a smooth transition. The long spiral vanes will ream the hole by rotation or axial stroking. · Float valve meets API RP 10F Category III C requirements. The valve is a spring loaded poppet type suitable for horizontal applications. It is anchored to the alloy steel Armadillo body using high strength concrete. Valve and concrete are drillable using all standard rock drill bits. The Armadillo can be supplied in a wide variety of box end thread connections for attachment to any standard casing. Features:
