Benefits“I am trying to make learning about timetabling fun and interesting and it will be useful to see if there are any apps I can link into subjects we teach our timetablers”
“I'm looking forward to finding new apps that will help me as an education outreach liaison officer engage with the dis-engaged kids I work with”
“It also forms a part of my CPD, experiencing a course delivered completely online is new to me”
“I think this could be advertised as a good activity for CILIP CPD revalidation”
Critical thoughts“I'm looking forward to hearing reports of actual use of various technology/apps in HE teaching, and a chance to examine some of the potential risks/problems which might need to be dealt with”
“Hope this doesn't turn out to be another forum/talking shop with no practical course design”
Discovery“Martin Compton recommended this course as a good example of engaging online learning delivery - I want to experience it and learn about how to do this well”
“It's great to do something that introduces new apps or learning opportunities - and anything that says Christmas has me hooked - perfect!”
“I did really enjoy myself last time and it now feels a bit like part of the Christmas tradition. The jokes have got to be better this year, surely?”
“heard about it at CILIP conference and been looking forward to it ever since!”

How do you rate the course ?
Praise
“I've really enjoyed the 12 apps and learnt a lot, not just about the featured apps, but also other recommendations etc via Twitter. Thank you!”
“You kept it short and sweet. Good.”
“RUL12Aoc is quickly turning into a national institution, so please keep doing what you are doing, it is great!“
Criticism“For the discussions, I think there could have been a pre set up thread for posting their handiwork, rather than everyone posting up their own thread, meaning there were only one or two posts per thread”
“I will welcome very much a follow up with more specifically educational Apps”
“Disliked that some of the apps don't have a private option. I think this is important especially at learning/trial stage. Also data protection / safe harbour / other privacy issues”
“I didn't like having to log in and navigate Blackboard just for this course… time was a big factor”
