Renowned winemaker Hector Durigutti produces varietals that are symbolic of Argentina’s deeply rooted wine culture. Argie wines are carefully crafted to express the essence of each of their unique, old-vine vineyards and to celebrate the natural intensity of the fruit flavors typical of each varietal. Argie Andes Bonarda is harvested from two vineyards in Mendoza: Luján de Cuyo’s Ugarteche Vineyard, planted in 1923, at 3,400 ft. elevation, featuring stark and stony soil; and San Martin’s Montecaseros vineyard, planted in 1958, at 2400 ft. elevation, with sandy, loamy soil. The climate in these two regions is semi-desert with moderate winds, with an average annual rainfall of just 8 inches and 300 sunny days and open skies per year.
