hoarding-situationWe have a desperate situation inMacon. An elderly couple has ap-

proximately 70 dogs on their prop-erty. Most were dumped, somewere born there due to a lack of

spaying/neutering. This couple isnot able to care for these dogs

and has been asking for assistanceto place the dogs in homes. They

could not turn the dogs awaywhen they showed up at their

doorstep and there is no animalcontrol in the county that they re-

side in so there was no one to turnto for help. Through local rescueefforts some of these dogs have

now been placed in foster homes,but many are heartworm positiveand most need basic vet care (vac-

cinations) and altering. If we areable to provide this basic care and

heartworm treatment, most ofthese dogs will be very adoptabl

and several rescue groups have epressed a willingness to take somon if they are vetted. Please consider making a donation towards

the care of these dogs so they cafind a better life!
