Think about this - if you were to tell your friends you wanted to publish a book on the Amazon Kindle Store, what do you think they would say?

“No way! It’s wayyyy too difficult!”

They would tell you (perhaps you would be telling yourself the same thing) – that there are just SO MANY things to get done!

You have to write content, design a cover, get proofreading, write a sales copy, format and convert your manuscript… etc.

Isn’t it?

If all those processes began to stop you from having the first thought of publishing on Kindle, I want to share with you the only FOUR elements you need when publishing your first Kindle book (or second, or third…)

you have to do A loT of works to publish your Kindle bookMisconception 1

The FOUR Elements You Need For Getting Your Kindle Book Published

Element #1: Content

That’s common sense.

Without content, you have nothing to publish. And we are not talking about low quality content, or content that doesn’t add value to other people’s lives, or a bunch of cheap PLR content that was created by unknown writers.

In fact, quality content is important to your book.

It determines whether your sales will be sustainable.

People can get hooked up to your sales copy and buy your book, or get attracted by your beautiful book cover and make a purchase, or any reason.

However, if your book sucks and doesn’t deliver what you promised, then it’s hard to get repeat sales from the same customer.

What’s worse?

That unhappy customer is probably going to give you a bad review, and that will hurt your future sales.

Element #2: Formatting

Once you get your content written, it’s time to format it to be Kindle friendly. Better yet, convert it into Kindle eBook format to reduce display problems on your customers’ Kindle devices.

Again, many authors overlook the effect of having a good formatted book.

Take a look at the following –

Figure 1. Bad formatting leads to bad review, bad review hurts your sales!

You can see how bad formatting hurts your sales. Moreover, that could be fixed easily from the first day!

Element #3: Book Cover

The third component you need is no other than your book cover image.

Covers are your first opportunity at convincing people to buy your eBook and not your competitors. Having a professional-looking cover also adds to your reputation as a quality, reliable writer.

Figure 2. Seriously do you want cover like this?

More importantly, this helps people visualize what they are about to purchase. In a sense, this is where the content of your eBook begins. If they see your eBook as something that provides the answers they are looking for, they will have no second thoughts about buying it.

People do judge a book (especially an eBook!) by its cover, and you should always keep this in mind. Having a bad cover is bad for business – customers will question the quality of your work.

Element #4: Promotional Plan

This is where you should spend 80% of your time in your Kindle publishing. Why do you think big authors spend thousands of dollars in launching their books and conducting book tours?

The reason is that they know no matter how good their content is, if no one knows about it, no one will read it. There are only four elements to master to publish your Kindle book and to sell it well and I call it your Kindle Success Formula.

There are only four elements to master to publish your Kindle book and to sell it well and I call it your Kindle Success Formula. Now, if one book is generating you good money because you have mastered these four components well, how many books will you continue to publish to make even more money?

The answer is obvious.

Figure 3. This should be your Kindle Success Formula.
