1) Trustworthiness A trustworthy person is someone in whom we can

place our trust and rest assured that the trust will not be betrayed. A person can prove his/her trustworthiness by fulfilling an assigned responsibility - and as an extension of that, to not let down our expectations.

The responsibility can be either material, such as delivering a mail package on time, or it can be a non-material such as keeping an important secret to himself. A trustworthy person is someone that we can put our worries and secrets into and know they won’t come out.

2) Respect Respect is taking into consideration the views and desires of

others and incorporating it into your decisions. Being truthful to people. When you respect another, you factor in and weigh others' thoughts and desires into your planning and balance it into your decision making.

Example: respecting someone's opinion. You may or may not agree, but you place it into consideration, and it may ultimately influence your decision.

Respect can also be applied to taking care of oneself or the environment. Respect adds general reliability to social interactions. It helps people get along with other people.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me — and by that time no one was left to speak up.
