In this school competition we use products from the car paint supplier R-M, a member of

the BASF group. All the work procedures needed for this operation is described in the

"technical data sheets" which you can find on the suppliers website:

You will also have access to the data sheets before and during the whole competition. All

procedures for this operation are explained in these data sheets, and the assessment

criteria will be made based on these documents.

Sanding materials, tools and the workplace will be prepared in advance.

Part A

Use recommended equipment in the workshop to prepare the plastic part for Extra sealer.

Apply EXTRASEALER on the plastic part according to supplier R-M’s data sheet.

You have to mix right amount of the solution yourself.

Evaluation: Do not proceed until you have been evaluated.

Part B

Prepare the plastic part for painting according to supplier’s data sheets.

Mix base color ONYX HD according to supplier’s data sheets.

Mix topcoat CHRONOLUX according to supplier’s data sheets.

All necessary equipment needed for the paint job will be prepared and put on a table in the

paint cabin for each competitor. Air hoses and adjustable air control devices are mounted

on every workstation in the paint cabin, including an air-supplied respirator.

In ArcticSkills 2016 we will use products from R-M, a brand of BASF. You can find all the

processes described in the «Technical Data Sheets» on the paint supplier’s website

(http://www.rmpaint.com ), and you will have access to these before and during the

competition. The correct procedures are described in the «Technical Data Sheets», and the

judging will be based on that information.

The sanding materials, tools and workplace will be prepared in advance.
