Rebuilt flush valve on toilet in first floor men’s re-stroom of Hodges Library.

Rebuilt toilet flush valve in women’s secondary re-stroom on second floor of Hodges Library.

Worked on penthouse bathroom exhaust fan, rea-ligned pulleys, installed new belts, and reset breakers in Hodges 216.

Air handlers #1-5 in south machine room of Hodges have been cleaned and vacuumed out; also changed belts on #2 & #5.

Cleaned aerators in sinks, tightened up loose toilet seats, cleaned trough in west machine room, checked and tightened bathroom stall hinges & locks, paper towel dispenser in men’s restrooms 2nd floor, toilet seat replaced on girls 3rd floor, changed out lights in Hodges 346 custodial, and replaced tissue dispenser in men’s secondary restroom on 1st floor.

Repaired classroom lights and treating drains in wa-ter stations in Haslam Business.

Bearing replaced on air handler #4, drains & valve repair on induction units, and lights in stairwell re-placed at SMC.

Finishing customer service class.

General maintenance.

Zone 7:

Worked on soap pump on sink in SERF 101M.

Replaced ceiling tile in SERF 358 due to water leak.

Worked on balancing Fume hoods in SERF 109A and 317.

Worked equipment & changed lights as needed in Tickle.

Changed filters in wall units, worked on compressor, and changed lights as needed in Pasqua.

Assisted Electric shop on power outage & worked on roof leaks in classrooms in Dougherty.

Worked on skylight leak, adjusted door closes, and worked panic bar on 4th door of Min Kao.

General building maintenance.

Zone 8:

We have been assisting many students with directions to their destinations over the past week.

Our team will be working on LED lighting this week.

We continue to work on our filter changed and in-spection of our equipment.

The One Call has been busy with the start of Fall clas-ses. Their work load has increased dramatically.

I would like to thank the Zone 8 team for having our classrooms ready for the start of school.

Zone 11:

Continuing to work in Neyland Stadium to prepare for football season.

Working on lights and restrooms and east & west skyboxes.

At Neyland Thompson, Brenda Lawson, & Anderson Training we are working on general maintenance is-sues for recruits & visitors.

Changing lights & working on restrooms at Regal Soc-cer for upcoming season.

General maintenance issues at Sherri Parker Lee for upcoming softball camp.

Working on indoor court lights & restrooms at Good-friend Tennis Center for upcoming season.

General maintenance issues at Allan Jones, Thornton Athletics, Lindsey Nelson, Graphic Arts, and Parking Services.

Working on email connection problems.

Purchase & set up new iPads for Zone Maintenance Building Inspection Program.

Warranty repair of HULK laserjet printer in Design.

Set up student assistant computers.

Sign up for Safetyfest classes; some have already been filled.

Due to a vacancy in our office and continuance of New Employee Orientation, training staff availability on Mondays and Tuesdays will be minimal.

When expecting new employees, please let the train-ing office know by the Friday prior.

We have an Orientation schedule we follow eve-ry Monday and Tuesday.

Supervisors are reminded to gather their employees

to electronically fill out their Conflict of Interest forms. These forms are mandatory. Please allow your employees to use and build on the computer skills we have been providing over the last two years.

There are still folks who have not set up their park-ing. Parking Services has been sending employees to us to get their parking set up. We do not set up your parking. You should have gotten an e-mail notifying you to renew your parking online.

With just a week left in the month, 63% of those due training in August have not completed it.

We have a ZM student temporarily working in our office for a mass emergency management ID print.

We helped Terry with football training. There were 98 attendees.

ZM Group 2 has attended their last module of train-ing for the Customer Service Certification. We will be holding a graduation soon.

The Communications and PR Office is currently com-piling all of the Facilities Services Units’ summer pro-jects and upcoming fall projects. We will create a cat-alog and publish it on our Web site.

Coordinating the creation and placement of new Cone Zone signs is ongoing.

Updates to the Cone Zone Web site are ongoing.

The new Facilities Services website has launched. Thanks to Brock Ellis for all of his hard work on this project! The site will be a work in progress and you can expect to see several updates and changes as we move forward. The next phase of our updated is the Service Guide.

The distribution date of the Facilitator has changed – the bi-monthly newsletter will now cover the months of June, July and August. It will be released Monday, August 31.

Coordinating and planning department events/awards is ongoing.

the month. The online nomination form can be found at fs.utk.edu along with the printable PDF version.

We are in the planning stages for our next Facilities Fundamentals Workshop featuring UT Recycling.

The workshop will be held in September – look for more announcements to come in the upcoming weeks.
