MAP seeks qualified students to participate in the first excavation season of a fiveyear international archaeological project at the site of Podere Marzuolo (Tuscany, Italy) where evidence of Roman period ceramic production (1 st c BCE/CE) provides a unique opportunity to investigate technical innovation ‘in action’, challenging traditional approaches to the ancient rural economy. Students will receive a comprehensive field experience, including handson training in excavation techniques, data collection, spatial archaeometric data acquisition and analysis, and object conservation and study.
