SECTION

The production of sections is considered to be primordial in the practice of architecture.

Sections are often used not only as representational meth-ods, but are also used in ar-chitectural didactic practices.

Though the production of this section, we aimed to learn the issues of spatial development and sequential thresholds. It is also the result of a study of the spatial hierarchies and lighting phenomena in Vit-ra Haus, project by Herzog and de Meuron architects.

ASSEMBLAGE

The development of this assem-blage was done through the com-position of buildings that respond-eded to the issues of sequence and threshold. By the production of this project, we attemped to acquire the knowdelge of spatial design through the use of sectional math-ods of representation and concepts.

This perticular assemblage is a combination of the works of Peter Zumthor, Zaha Had-id and Herzog and de Meuron.

It aims to create a phenomen-ist linear experience by the use of

FACADE

This facade is the result of the formal study of the courtyard of Santa Maria della Pace by Bramante.

The formal aspects of this facade include the use of proportions and vertical ge-ometries, that are applied as an aesthetic feature. Howev-er, this concept, along with the idea of the courtyard as a ventilation method are ap-plied to solve spatial issues.

ARCHIVE

The design of this NYC arhcive is the result of a syntesis of the fundamen-tal concepts of precendt translation, sequence and threshold development, formal studies and facade.

Following the concepts extracted from Vitra Haus by Herzog and de Meu-ron, this pavilion follows the strategies of stack-ing and radial rotation.
